So I think that this is a problem because and we should fix it like when you shoot an animal and it's diamond but you don't hut the vital organ so the score on the animal drops, I don't agree with that as irl if you shoot a huge high game animal it won't loose its score by where you shot it if you still killed it,

no, the point of the harvest checks is to keep player from hunting unethically, thats why you drop medals if you havent completed the harvest check, the trophy rating still stays the same, just like in real life.

exactly, it dropped because the harvest check wasnt passed because they missed the vital organs, the trophy rating still stays diamond worthy, but since you didn't take the kill ethically, you lose out on the diamond medal

the medals basically grade trophy rating + harvest all together, it's like what needs to be done to get the medal
in order to get the medal that the trophy rating claims it to be, you need to pass all harvest checks

yep thats why the medal dropped, the fox is big enough for diamond, but the shot wasn't good enough as it missed the vital organs, so the medal dropped down to gold

I shot it. I definitely hit a vital Oregon and I know I did. It says I hit the spine.

The medal awarded is a sporting measure, to obtain it you must hunt the animal ethically, with the appropriate calibers and in the fastest possible way to avoid unnecessary suffering of the animal and ruining the trophy, in the same way as it would be done in real life.
Because if you shot a rabbit or a fox with an LRR .338 the animal would disintegrate or it would break in half and you would have nothing left of the trophy xD

spine isn't a vital organ, you need to shoot it in the lungs, neck, heart, brain or liver for a vital organ shot

but on 99% of species brain shots should not be done because they damage the skull which is a trophy organ so then that also drops the medal

The main reason I’m annoyed is because I would be my third ever diamond in this game I’m sorry, but if you get shot in the stomach or even the liver, you probably won’t survive, especially at the caliber of 223

you wont survive getting shot in the intestines either but, its a slow death, therefore not ethical

brain shot kills you instantly
neck shot kills you instantly
heart shot kills you instantly
lung shot makes your lung collapse an fill with blood, killing you very quickly
liver shot poisons your body, killing you fairly quick

stomach and intestines don't have the same effect, you die from bleeding out more than organ damage, that's why it's not considered a good hit

A neck Shot doesn’t necessary. Kill you fast. It depends where you get hit on if you’re going to survive or not.

The shot to the neck (cervical spine) cuts off the communication between the brain and the other organs, causing the entire system to stop and die relatively instantly.

Feral Goats and Hogs are pretty commonly and reliably taken with headshots (to not ruin the especially delicious meat) definitely should be ethical, and if you want a non ingame example, NILGAI!!! Nilgai’s are taken with headshots pretty reliably too. I think harvest checks need a good thinking about, and research what are common practices, not just make it easier for the player.
