Hello and welcome to Alberta a Canadian province that isn't really talked about an awful lot but it has alot of potential and I think for a another North American map it'd be better than another US state map.

While it isn't completely different from other NA maps it definitely shows some new species within the smaller side of Wildlife.

Unfortunately basically not a single new Big Game Species.

Class 1 Species:

Duck Species:

● American Wigeons
● Gadwall
● Northern Pintail
● Northern Shoveler
● Blue Winged Teal
● Wood Duck
● Bufflehead

Geese Species:

○ Canada Goose
● Snow Goose
● Greater White Fronted Goose

Upland Bird Game:

● Ruffed Grouse
● Spruce Grouse
● Dusky Grouse
● Sharptailed Grouse
● Grey Partridge
○ Ring Necked Pheasant
○ Willow Ptarmigan
○ Rock Ptarmigan

Rabbit & Hare Species:

● Snowshoe Hare

Class 2 Species:

● American Badger
● American Beaver
○ Coyote

Class 3 Species:

● Canadian Lynx

Class 4 Species:

○ Pronghorn
○● Northwestern Whitetail Deer
○ Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep

Class 5 Species:

○ Grey Wolf ( Mackensie Valley Wolf )
○ Rocky Mountain Mule Deer

Class 7 Species:

○ Black Bear

Class 8 Species:

As a resident of Alberta, Wolverines and Lynx can only be taken by Trappers and in the case of Wolverine less then 60 pelts are trapped province wide
Meaning that Wolverines are better used for a potential Arctic Reserve with backfilling to Yukon Valley & Medved Taiga

Well Askiy Ridge sort of nullifies the need for a new Alberta Reserve, but I do think some of the species (Ruffed and Sharp-tailed Grouse, Canada Lynx (Which I think would be a class 2 species, they are tall but lightweight), Snowshoe Hare and Buffleheads) would be welcome additions to Askiy Ridge Preserve 🇨🇦
