With the new High Caliber Weapon Pack, the game is going to need some animals for those guns. My idea is a map set in the heart of texas, where lots of different exotics thrive, with some forest and post-oak savvanah.

The yellow areas represent post oak savvannah and fields, for things like watusi cattle and antelope. The light Green is Sparse forest for deer, antelope, and some goats and sheep, and the dark green is heavy forests, with goats, sheep, and deer. The map will look Something like this.

The mission should have to do with oil, hence Oil Forest, and also because Texas has loads of oil pumps.

would prefer for a lot of these species to be back-filled to different already existing maps.

Emu's for Aus, Bongos for Africa etc.

We have a plethora of NA maps already and certainly don't need to be pinching stuff from other continents to make maps.

It would be cool to have all of those animals in one place. Texas hunts are fun

It's a "Game Ranch" aka it is a high fence ranch like the ones IRL that have all of these things

And? The point of a game ranch is to have exotic animals

The point is we have enough American maps already,( bar the arctic regions) america has more than enough indigenous species that they can pick, without needing to pilfer things that would be the selling points of future African/ Aus maps.

Aus stands for austraila. im aware of the hunting regulations for southern Africa.

I get you don't like it thats your opinion, and I respect that. But I can keep it up if I want, and nothing you say is going to change that

I think the same as Wellington. America has a lot of maps (The most out of all the continents) I would like Asia or Africa more.

And yeah I think to keep uniqueness the import species shouldn’t appear in America.

Tbh having just been in Texas for vacation, I would love a Texas map in COTW. Unfortunately it's another NA map so many people would not like it simply because of that, plus there's many other locations around the globe that are more unique and interesting. I can't say that I wouldn't enjoy a Texas map though.

One spices in particular I’d add to the list would be Racka sheep Evan though there a domestic it’s a cool looking sheep and could be back filled to New Zealand and Australia

This is interesting…but all of those “exotic” species would be far better in their own natural habitats, many of which already have maps that they could be added too. It would feel rather silly to go to Texas to hunt African wildlife. Secondly, there is the whole issue of fenced in hunting. that is a contentious topic with varying opinions, personally I don’t hunt fenced animals in real life as I personally think of it as unsporting, and have little interest in a fenced map in CotW. One could make the argument that it wouldn’t be much different seeing as all maps in the game are limited in size and area, but still. Rather pointless imo. Not to mention the US already has a fair amount of maps, these exotic animals would be better served in their respective habitat maps.

Animals that could be better introduced on a map set in their natural habitat

  • Aoudad: Since Morocco legalized limited hunting for them, it can work now ( #1159248365029167144 )
  • Nilgai: Pakistan and Nepal
  • Black Wildebeest, Nyala & Blesbok: South Africa, Namibia & Botswana
  • Russian Boar: That is just a Wild Boar under a different names ( #1198035342205391030 )
  • Thomson's Gazelle: Tanzania ( #1203008616802684959 )
  • Zebra, Ostrich, Waterbuck & Impala: Africa in general
  • Himalayan Tahr, Red Muntjac & Blue Sheep: Nepal ( #1194806575567745084 )
  • Markhor: Pakistan & Tajikistan ( #1119449859297132564 )
  • Bongo: Cameroon, Congo ( #1132780319058174073 )
  • Sitatunga: Central & East Africa
  • Livingstone's Eland: Zambia, Mozambique

# lethal lodge I agree with that, but think how long it would take to get all of these animals ...

Ultimately not all of these are going to come, but none of them should be appearing in the states. It doesn’t really matter how long it takes for most of them to come, they need to be in their authentic natural settings.

It’s madness to have another American map when we already have 6 (maybe 7 with Canadian arctic) and to then have an eighth that’s main selling point is animals that are not actual from Na

I get that your from Texas, but what a lot of people have been wanting is a move away from the states for a while, explore other regions in the world that have not been done justice yet, like Asia and Africa.

Yeah I have to say I agree with what the other two said, a lot of these animals can be added to other maps, and don’t really belong in a US map. “Free range” in a fenced in ranch/game land isn’t exactly free nor ranging now is it, but I digress, the whole fenced in thing isn’t really an issue. It’s a video game, but I’m curious as to how the devs would think of that as they have already shied away from adding certain animals for “ethical” reasons. However I don’t see why it would take longer to backfill animals than it would to completely develop them with a new map from scratch.

The species list is bewildering and depressing. I think this is the only map I've ever downloaded. down voted.

Around 40 species, way too many

And all those timings you have done, what are they based off?

pallid solstice
#

@abstract raptor so to get this correct you're not sick of NA and E forever you're just sick of them temporarily but what happens when cotw has done basically all of the African and Asian maps do they return back to NA and E where there would be the same species that we've already gotten like moose on 5,6 different maps if there were another let's say 3 maps with moose would you even like that

I would never buy a USA map that had African, Australian and other exotics on it. It's just that simple. 😂
