Wild Boar

Yukon Valley:
Black Bear

Cuatro Colinas:
Feral Goat
Chamois
Fallow Deer

There Are Several Species I Did Not Include On This List As They Cant Be Hunted In These Locations, Or They’re Simply Not Found There. If There’s Any Other Species That I Missed, Please Tell Me, As I’d Like To See A Bunch Of Variety On The Older Maps.

Solid list except for the kudu replacement and I think Yukon should also get Rosie and blacktail

Mountain Lion, Raccoon, Red Fox and Pheasant could work for Layton. And Mountain Goat, Willow Ptarmigan and Rock Ptarmigan could also work for Yukon

You know what's crazy? Mountain Goats were introduced to Colorado in 1947, they weren't found there before then at all.

Also, I agree that lesser kudu could be replaced but it NEEDS to be impala if anything. or they could just add impala. Its natural and they are everywhere aside from being the whitetail/roe deer equivalent of Africa

I hate that species scare other species its annoying and just ruins hunts

Impalas would be a really quick flip of the lesser kudu model, just change the coloration and horns, split the spawns a bit so impala take over a few kudu and springboks need zones each. MAKE THE DAMN BUFFALO NOT CHARGE ME FOR THINKING ABOUT HUNTING WITHIN A HALF MILE OF THEM AND SILENCE THOSE D*MN DUCKS

Then vurhonga will be perfect for me

I don’t think EW would remove a species. Especially one that’s been on the map for years

I do like this thread. Some great backfill suggestions. Although I doubt we would see Bison in Mexico due to them being critically endangered in that region

placid current
# placid leaf I may disagree with this statement kind sir. Cougars/mtn lions do kill moose, el...

Elk Definitely Makes Sense Since A Predator Of Any Kind Will Incite Panic, Moose Less So Because They’re Aggressive And Will Generally Stand Their Ground Against Predators Other Than Wolves. Bison Have Been Killed By Cougars, But They’d Go Aggressive On A Cougar Before They’d Flee. But Bears Are Absolutely My Biggest Issue Because They’ll Hold Their Ground Or Simply Leave The Cat Alone.

Cougars and wolves killing moose are very much a thing here in BC is really all I'm saying. So as annoying as it may be for them to spook animals I think the only one that really needs a look at is how they interact with the bears. Not meaning to go off topic of your thread lol

# spice yew It would be amazing to see Himalayan Tahr in te awaroa

Agreed. I Wanna See Tahr On Te As Much As Anyone Else, But I’m Still Not Sure If It’s Possible Since I Don’t Know Anything About Game Development. The Reason Stated For Not Having Tahr On Release Is That They Couldn’t Render The Fur (Or Something Like That, I Know It Was About The Fur).

nice list but maybe mouflon to hirsch ?

I think NEM could really benefit from Canada Goose.

For Hirsch woodcock can be backfilled as there are woodcocks where Hirsch is

I’d be keen for mouflon on Hirschfelden, they would be great in Rotwold and Rinderland. Hirsch is pretty well rounded now but mouflon would be the cherry on top for my favourite map.

#

If we had all the species Mr. Schrader listed on Hirsch I doubt I’d play many of the newer maps honestly.

What’s your thought process for knocking off lesser kudu for fallow, with so many maps already existing with fallow?

pale bone

Cause it’s not accurate

# regal nebula The two different missions where we were asked to take down poachers traps

Yeah, The One At That Pill Shaped Lake, Mission #2. There’s Still No Mention Of Giraffes. Still, That Has Nothing To Do With Me Getting Rid Of Lesser Kudu Because It’s Not Accurate To Have Them On The Map. Fallow Makes Sense Because They’re At Least Found In The Area, Lesser Kudu Aren’t Found Within 1000 KM Of The General Area Where Vurhonga Would Be Set

fierce fox
#

Even if Vurhonga was fenced why would that matter at all, poachers go to extreme lengths.

I need to say I agree with me Schrader I'd would keep 2-3 zones in a small area for people who wanna get trophy's of them but that's it maybe 600m of coastline the rest would be filled by Nyala or greater kudu!

Exactly it was the devs opinion on putting lesser kudu on the map

lone current
# regal nebula Preservation of species and its the devs choice

this is just a game, it has no effect on conservation (unless they make a donation i guess) so it was entirely dev choice to throw in an ainmal that a very large number of people had no idea existed rather than choose a more familiar species that is a deeply traditional and beloved part of African hunting that is both native to the area and commonly hunted by both native tribes and wandering hunters.

Like, weird choice to have some of the most popular animals in African hunting on the map but choose an animal extremely similar to the most commonly hunted antelope in all of Africa

This thread is hilarious 😂 y’all fighting about giraffes. All I’m saying is they’re very unlikely to remove a species from a map (as jaxy has said) especially one that doesnt exist on any other map and especially to replace it with one that’s on a pile of maps. Maybe it’s not 100% accurate, but its also not inconceivable that they were “introduced” to the reserve. Its a game lol. And I am of the opinion that EW should focus more of its efforts on giving us a brand new lineup of african animals (esp greater kudu!) on a new reserve than replacing animals on an old reserve.

But as stated by @next garden this thread is your thoughts and opinions which is 100% cool for you to share!

Fewer or minimum repeated species and more local species for each map. Why have many maps with numerous repeated species? With this, it would be sufficient to hunt all the species in just one map. Diversity is fascinating and enjoyable. It's just my opinion. The New England map was very disappointing.
