So with news that we will only be getting 1 new map a year from now on going forwards, I am one who is missing the excitement of new animals and challenges. The game is always fun and cool, but without that extra map to explore and new animals to encounter, I think this may be a good solution to that problem.

The Migration update:

Once a year a Migration update will introduce a new animal on one of my maps. Maybe it will be:

  • Wooducks seen flying over Mississippi

  • Snowshoe Hares on Yukon Valley

  • Barbary sheep roaming the deserts of Rancho

  • Snowgeese nesting on Medved

Not the same as a backfilling, but adding more to a map and giving players new reasons to explore older maps from the past for new additions to their lodges.

Just an idea to keep the game feeling fresh and having some excitement in-between maps, what do you all think?

Where was it announced that it's only one new map a year from now on?
Not objecting. Just curious about your source. Personally, I don't mind if it means more better QOL stuff.

We can probably stuff this with a yearly backfill update for older species too
