I Am Not Entirely Sure On What Animals Are Allowed To Be Hunted There. I Know That Recreational Hunting Is Banned, But I Cannot Find Anything On Hunting To Feed People (Like What Vurhongas Story Is).

If Anyone Could Help Me Figure This Out I’d Really Appreciate It Because I Think It Could Make A Great Second South American Map For COTW If Hunting Is Legal There.

The Current Species List Is:

Common Hippopotamus (Class 10)

Another Possible Species Would Be The Lesser Capybara, As Natives Can Hunt Them And (If Willing) Could Also Take Outside Hunters For Them. This Is Something That Is Relatively Common In South America, Especially Colombia, Bolivia, And Peru.

I Know That Hippos Are A Species There That Can Be Hunted If They Become A Problem, But What The Parameters Of “Problem” Are Seem To Be Pretty Vague.

On Netflix there’s a show called shamwari untamed, in the show the had to relocate some hippos. They could/should have moved hippos as well…but too late now I guess!

Considering How Few There Are In Colombia, If Absolutely Necessary (Which I Think It Is), They Could Kill Off The Remaining Amount. If Left Unchecked It’s Thought Their Population Could Hit Over 1000 By 2040.

So It Seems That Hunting Isn’t Popular (Or Legal For The Most Part) In Colombia, So This Isn’t A Viable Map.

Yeah, Mexico (the Yucatán), Argentina, Paraguay, and Bolivia are the closest you’ll get to an Amazon jungle map.(and apparently Peru)

Peru Also Allows Hunting Although Im Nearly Certain That Hunting Is Prohibited Within The Amazonia Region (Unless You’re Native).

Another country that might work is Suriname though its mostly things like deer (brocket and South American white-tail), peccary, rodents, gamebirds and caiman

Ooh That Would Be Cool. I Never Even Thought About The Fact That Suriname May Be Great For Hunting. It Would Be That Amazon Map That People Want (Minus The Jaguars And Other Animals That People Want, But Are Illegal).

I do believe Ecuador has a growing hunting scene as well.

I did look into it and both Puma & Jaguar are off limits there

Also it is more part of the Guyana Highlands more so then the Amazon, but close enough that people should be satisfied

It’s A Tropical South American Environment, So It’s Definitely Something That People Would Want Even If It’s Not Exactly The Amazon Rainforest.
