Weapons
It might be a big undertaking, but I’d love to see quite a few weapons alongside this reserve much like Way of the Hunter.
First! The Encore .458 Winchester “Perfect for anything you may encounter, whether it be Polar Bear in the Icy Tundra,Crocs amongst the mangroves,or even…a massive Bull Elephant,There’s nothing this versatile platform can’t do!”
Class,6-10

“The long reigning champion of African hunting, the minimum for most big game in the modern day!”

#

#

Dangerous Game calibers!

.950 Grain arrow (Compound)
.800 (Traditional)

Could drop with a weapon/character pack with someone like Craig Boddington. Man's legendary for hunting Africa and wrote several books on rifle cartridges for Safari hunts

Tiny 10 to Elephants, he's hunted all over Africa, he's big on Conservation, and a good image for all hunters (making comparison to Remi here)

Hippos are absolutely more dangerous and they are much more aggressive, Lions don't attack canoes full of kids going to school and bite crocs in half

Weirdly enough,I’m seeing more hippo and lion hunting in Botswana than I did making this list (dated as early as 2023)

It's probably because of the season change, dry season is much safer to hunt in and its mercifully cooler, at least for hippo hunting I'd rather be on land because they're so much faster in the water

#

Then again, I just watched a show where Jim Shockey went after a problem hippo that was raiding a village's crops and chasing people away. He was stalking the actual problem animal when another one charged from behind. it started like a hundred yards away and climbed into an out of a gulley to get at them. He took it down without anyone getting hurt but it was plain how stressed the whole crew was

On that note,I’d like to see a portion of the map to be dedicated to Kalahari hunting, which would have the majority of your Antelope,Lions,Leopard,Vervet monkey and baboon (however both of the primates would be fairly map wide).

There are massive lions in the Okavango Delta that got so big because they specialize in buffalo. On a side note I recall lion hunting and hunting in the Okavango itself was banned before the elephant ban and this was something I have been meaning to mention for a while and from what I am reading now the Okavango Delta has basically been given over to photographic safari operators, but for the sake of the reserve's story this reserve could be the first hunting area to be opened (reopened, idk) in the Okavango Delta Region in a long time

What if it's not a public reserve? What if the story is that you've been called in to specifically control numbers of animals? Even Photograph reserves have to manage the number of animals in an area to prevent overgrazing/disease spread

"We're almost ready for the tourist season, only we're not ready at all! We still have so much work to do, if you could help out by checking on the outposts as you travel around that would be a huge help. Oh! and the make sure the viewing towers are still safe enough for our guests to climb. I know it's a lot to ask, but Njabulo spoke highly of you" RW

Maybe this reserve has a photographic area and your in the hunting area of the reserve, that could be one way to go about it

hmm, kinda made the warden sound like a whiny little annoyance. like someone who was OMG ITS A BADEN

Swinging back to the Okavango Lions, they are truly massive due to mainly eating buffalo

I swear I saw a documentary on them once, it stressed that they had become extremely good swimmers due to the habitat/buffalo loving the swamps. Also seem to vaguely remember them climbing dead trees to scout for prey

There’s so many possibilities when it comes to multimounts but the one I’d really like to see is based on this video,it depicts a leopard chasing a vervet monkey doing a 360!!! and then eating it,perhaps EW could add fake trees to the current lodges to really make this work.

☝️☝️☝️ It could have a mixture of failed and successful hunts, just before the Vervet Monkey runs up the tree, the leopard eating the monkey on the ground or in the tree.It would easily become one of my favorite multimounts in the game.

Honestly, I'd like it if mounts weren't gendered I've got a mela blacktail and cougar that would look great together but the genders don't match up with the mount
