Number keys not working for selecting weapons

I had no problem when i was hunting with the stock guns from the beginning of the game however when i access my cache and go into my storage to make a new setup i am not being allowed to pull out any weapons thru my 1234 button. Num lock is off

Please note that to equip items with the 1-9 buttons, you need to assign the items to your item wheel first.
After moving the weapons from the storage to your inventory in the cache, open your inventory by pressing F1 by default and drag the gun onto one of the wheel's slots. You will then be able to equip the weapon by pressing the assigned button.
