I recently noticed that peccary are the only species that react properly to spine shots. When you spine them they freeze but don’t die allowing for a follow up which is what hunters have to do irl if they spine an animal. This made me wonder why all animals aren’t like this in the game. Currently most animals you shoot in the spine will drop and die almost instantly which doesn’t allow for a follow up shot and is unrealistic. The whole reason spine shots are looked down upon is because it paralyses the animal but doesn’t kill it at least right away, so why do almost all of them die instantly. I would personally like it if ever animal reacted to spine shots like peccary or if any kill with 100% quick kill counted as vital. Just doesn’t make sense that I can for example kill a deer before it even hits the ground and it’s considered “non-vital.”

Tis a game
Yeah but it’s a game that tries to simulate a somewhat realistic hunting experience
Originally I thought animals just died immediately from spine shots because they didn’t want to show paralyzed animals but considering to peccary get paralyzed I don’t see why other animals don’t
