While the addition of wolves and capercaillies were a great step toward making Medved Taiga more interesting, I think it's safe to say that there's a lot of things that can be done to improve this old but beautiful Siberian map.
First, there are some older species on this map that really deserve a rework. Previously I've touched on how the Reindeer/Caribou and Siberian Musk Deer deserve a rework. Other people have made posts asking for Gray Wolves and Wild Boars to be reworked, which I think would also greatly improve Medved Taiga. All of these reworks would go a long way toward making this map better.
Second, we could use some backfilling! Two species that would definitely be perfect backfills on Medved are the Hazel Grouse and Black Grouse, which would definitely be a great way to give us more upland game birds to hunt on this map. The Taiga Bean Goose (almost identical to the Tundra Bean Goose on Revontuli) can also be added to Medved to give the map a waterfowl species. The Red Fox is another backfill option. All of these species are widespread across Siberia.
The Mountain Hare is a possible backfill species as well, although their currently rare "White" winter fur variation would need to become the common variant on Medved Taiga for the sake of immersion and realism. The Mountain Hare is also called the Tundra Hare, and giving the species this alternative name on Medved Taiga would definitely help to differentiate the Winter variant on Medved from the Summer variant on Revontuli. This would be a very unique way to incorporate this species onto Medved Taiga.
Third, Medved deserves some brand new animals as well. I think that the Siberian Roe Deer, Wolverine, Siberian Weasel, and Arctic Fox are all species that would fit really well on Medved Taiga. All of these species are widespread in Siberia.
Finally, it would just really add to the immersion if we'd be able to see the Aurora Borealis at night on Medved, the same way we can see it on Revontuli Coast.
