Africa has loads of cryptids, most of them are tales from the times of colonisation. Nandi bear would be cool, I think it's the most famous one. There is bunch of random dinosaurs like Mokele, some mystery primates, mystery cats, etc. It depends on where the map is located, but there is a lot of options

I'm not happy about that I honestly just bought the game a couple months ago when they backfilled Eland into the africa map

atleast it was a big discount, I got the game and numerous DLC for "only" 30$, but I'm still disappointed to find out they just fell off the earth and the final 5th map is almost exclusively re-used animals, just like the 4th map was...

First time I’m hearing WOTH devs have moved on to a new game, unfortunate since Ik a lot of people liked it even if it didn’t appeal to me. Wacky to me there aren’t more hunting games, I’d like there to be so some of the pressure people put on COTW to be 100% realistic can loosen up since they’d have other options

Way of the Hunter was a good game on its own but it had issues just like CotW does. The lack of variety in weapons, equipment, maps, and support was a big issue. NRG lost interest because it didn't immediately become the most successful hunting game instantly.

Whatever form WotH2 takes they'll use what they learned from CotW, Hunting Simulator Way of the Hunter all together to improve. Their initial trailer already shows a dog, a hound, and a full size truck with what looks like camp gear in the back

It’s something all predators would really benefit from, actual noticable differences in sizes like that like antler species already have built in. Talked about it with tigers in other places already but it really is an all predator thing

I do agree Europe is beautiful and there are many natural locations I would love to visit, but I'm not sure how many/how common hunting reserves in those areas are, I don't really know much about hunting IRL lol

I myself proposed a French-style hunting reserve, but not trophy hunting, which is not very popular in France. Hunting is primarily done for food, and if a beautiful animal is caught, its head is stuffed, for example in the case of wild boar and red deer.

In France, we have the privilege of having the most brain-dead anti-hunting activists in Europe, along with Switzerland, especially in the canton of Geneva.

As a leopard expert (I exclusively wear leopard leotards and my name is Leonard) I agree, you can't beat a 100 kg leopard, but depending on location leopards can be as small as 30 kgs when fully grown so I think it depends on the size of the leopard, the size and power of the human

The issue with that is that cougars and leopards around the same size on average and Cougars are Larger by Maximum Size to the only way for leopards to work would be either have them be classified or make them a class seven or eight species, BUT they have to bring cougar with them up To Class 7 or 8 too! Another cat along lion and Leopard that I would love to see in Africa 2.0 is the Cheetah! That I’m still stunned I can see from being anywhere from classes 3 to 5… will say class 4 for Cheetah

Ladies and Gentlemen 🫡

It was a great honour to have come here when I was descending into my worst self and having been welcomed by this community (feedback forum community) and having been helped through rough times in my life and for people being there for me when I needed it most.

I started off with posting a map idea that was basically a Layton Lakes 2.0 and of course that didn't go anywhere as I understand. And when I was disappointed to see that not many people had the same love for the idea like I did, there was one individual who was there, that was none other than MadMike. As I have known him for a few years, I know that he doesn't have an appreciation for having so many North American maps and especially Whitetail Deer 😂. But despite this he offered me support and cheered me up. Even though I continued to make NA and European map ideas from then on MadMike was still there for me every step of the way and I'm grateful to have had support like that.

I then proceeded to come across this thread and immediately became one with the community that this single thread gathered. I was on here chronically basically 😆 , and socialized better than any other point since 2022, I talked and I debated and I laughed (many times) but still I was at one of the happiest points in my life.

It wasn't until the feedback forum changed and the support for the thread started to slow dramatically that I soon came to realize that something wasn't right. I never foresaw what was going to come that day, but I'm glad I didn't because I was still happy and joyful and grateful and appreciative to still be a part of the community that I had wanted to be a part of for so long.

After seeing that the Feedback Forum had been archived today I felt a part of me leave because of it. I'll never truly be the same but I am and always will be forever grateful for all of you guys old and new for being a part of all of this.

There's so many different types here in southern Africa and it would change things up a little
