Any plans to add semiautomatic Kalashnikov pattern rifles into the game?
WASR, VEPR, PSL, etc? Calibers like 7.62x39mm, or a semiautomatic firearm in 7.62x54mmR?
Or a rifle that's only somewhat related, the SKS. That rifle is underrepresented in games.

Mostly I think an introduction of 7.62x39mm as a caliber on the same level as .223 or slightly higher would be cool. Or a semiautomatic PSL type rifle chambered in 7.62x54mmR

Speaking of which, 7.62x54R is about as powerful all-things-equal as .308 and most of the .30 caliber rounds, so we should be getting class changes to many more guns

nobody uses fully automatic AK’s for hunting, semi automatic AK’s exist. They are used for boar, bear and moose all across Asia.

If E.W. brought us a new weapon like that of an Automat Kalashnikova and it fired in a rapid burst or continuously, it would most likely be the most ironic glitch...
With that said, if that did happen, reporting that glitch would NOT be my first order of business.
I’d take that puppy straight to the shooting-range in Hirschfelden and see if I could stay in the eight ring on the international targets at increasingly further distances. 🤣

Semi auto AKs exist, semi auto armalites are already in the game, thought it would be cool to have its rival in the game too.
It would be cewl to have full auto guns, but it's more realistic to just have semi auto, which I thought I suggested.

Ah yes, Fudds. Wonder if the addition of AR15s and AR10s in the modern rifles DLC also got the same amount of flack. Even saw one reviewer sarcastically praise it by saying "I can call in an airstrike if I miss with my m16!"

Yet another rifle, just like the SKS, that is not a Kalashnikov, but is chambered in the same round and is reasonably popular in the former eastern bloc and elsewhere, especially Canada.

I'm all for a 7.62x39 being added but not until they fix the 7.62x35. Also, I'm not really fond of an AK model being added since there's a lot of additional options available in 7.62x39 out there.

If we want some rifles that have a similar design to the AK47, why not the Dragunov SVD? It's chambered in the same caliber (7.62x54R) that the Mosin Nagant uses. It would be really cool if we could use a rifle that shoots that caliber but in a semi-auto.
I also just think the SVD has a really cool look, and it's an iconic weapon of the Soviet era. It would be fun to hunt on Medved with it.

Both the Kalashnikov (including the PSL, which serves the same purpose as the SVD) and the SKS are known to have been used by civilians to hunt, I dunno if the SVD also is, even in the east.

We've got things like WASR, Vepr, Saiga, etc. Vepr at least I think has been chambered in 7.62x54mmR and other full powered rifle cartridges, I dunno if the SVD was ever manufactured for sporting purposes.

Personally, the only Russian semi-auto rifle I'd like to see is the SVT-40. For me it honestly comes down to caliber and looks. I'd rather have a 7.62×54R rifle (and a buff for the round) and I'd rather have it in an older rifle comparable to the M1 Garand. I'd also hope if the SVT-40 were added that it gets a mounting option for a sight like the ones in the pictures I attached.
My bad, I also forgot the Vepr VPO-124. I'd also be happy with this.
