Picture this, you walk out of your cabin, get into your stand, and you think you hear a huge deer. Nope! Just a squirrel, take this sucker out with a .22 or Birdshot!

I truly think adding squirrels would make a lot of the maps feel less sparsely inhabited.
New England & Mississippi definitely needs squirrel
Question is what would the whole zone situation be
Could be feed zones if they are able to add tree stability points. If they are up on a branch eating a nut and then if they spook they run up the tree more or go in a hole in the tree
OK sounds good enough I was thinking they could have an area to live in or tree then they would be able to move from tree to tree or be like European rabbits and just hang around a single tree
It is not possible to use the trees since they are parts of the render and do not have hitpoints for the animals to climb or lean on.
The possibility is to use the rabbit system or place structures with hitpoints manually

I agree. Also, to my knowledge, there hasn't been a hunting game that had squirells. I can't say i'm a hunting game expert but I know that hunting games with squirrels is rare. So, it would make COTW stand out.
/It would be fun. They could put red (fox
Red (fox) squirrels in hardwoods and gray (Pineys) in the evergreens. Black ones around the outposts. Good plunking with a .22. My dad used to hunt squirrel with a 22 pistol that shot .22 shorts. Not much more noise than snapping a stick, but took them out with a well aimed shot.
I agree
