Crashing the ATV makes it impossible to pull out equipment

When i get booted out of the ATV by in being critically damaged I go into a state where my equipment becomes inaccessible, hitting hotkeys or using the selection wheel lets me equip them but they won't be pulled out and I cannot fire, place structures, spot with binos, or anything that requires me to take out any equipment, and I cannot see my hands when running

press the key twice in a row to unequip the weapon, on PC it is the H key
