#Add aoudads to Rancho
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Sonora is too far east of the Mexico territories where the Aoudad live, they only go as far as Chihuahua
Still I think I would be a cool addition
If Rancho wound up with Rocky Mountain Bighorns and what seems to be the more northern subspecies of White-tail, then a Barbary Sheep seems like less of a stretch then say any white-tail subspecies that isn't a Coue's
COTW Has always had species overlap that doesn reflect real speciec distribution I think it would be a great idea
Agreed
It would really be better to have that Subspecies correction than to have another new inaccurate one
While we're at it, they need to fix the map. The fact that you have 1 more noise bar even when walking on a dirt road, just ruins the map.
Well it also makes no sense that you walk from bush land into desert just randomly like it does in rancho and literally every map
Where on the map does this happen???
Along the black line
It’s extremely gradual,I can picture it right now.
Another reason is that this is NATURE PRESERVE it is literally made to manage animals they some my considered non-native
It’s a hunting ranch, owned by some random retired cattle rancher with a family mystery on the grounds.
It should actually probably follow this line.

EW Put Rio Grande Turkeys On This Map, A Species That Is Completely Absent From Sonora. I Doubt That Having Aoudad On What’s Essentially A Game Ranch Would Be Too Big Of A Stretch, Especially Considering That They Already Stated That Pheasants Were Introduced To The Reserve.
It’s been a bit since I’ve played ranchos story but could they be referring to when pheasant began flourishing in the 1800’s in North America???
Ring-necked Pheasants were released in Sonora in 1900s as part of a repopulation project and in the 2000s they were declared wildlife and included in federal legislation.
Currently un Mexico there are many breeding farms where owners of hunting land can buy them and release them on their properties without problem.
True, I had forgotten that they had the wrong subspecies xD

I want Desert Bighorn, not Rocky Mountain Bighorn in Rancho
