How about an option to freely switch between first and third person Camera perspectives. Such as the ability to bind a button that switches between 1st and third perspectives.

We already have a button that switches between 1st and 3rd when riding an ATV ....
Why only on ATV's ❔ ❔

Or possibly an option to walk, run and crawl in third person but auto switch to first person when aiming or using binocs.💡

This will give more reason to purchase cosmetic hunting outfits for each reserve or DLC .... So a win win for both players and EW ....

This would be a massive game changer and a very competitive move by EW as it's a very useful tool in other hunting games who will not be mentioned. 😉

I know EW is pushing cosmetics right now .... the ability to see your character in 3rd person would absolutely make cosmetics more meaningful. I really don't care as much about cosmetics or clothing since I am always in first person . Please give us this camera control ....

Oh heck yes, I think of this all the time. Maybe because I grew up with the old Deer Hunter games and they usually had third person, and it was great. Gives you a much better feel for your surroundings.

I mean, you can already have a third person perspective on an ATV, I don't see how it would be that hard to do, except for ya know, the cross hairs and transitions for ADSing. Otherwise this would be a cool feature to add.

I would love this. As it stands, I don't even bother with cosmetics nor will I purchase any if I can't actually see my character (and I mean really see him not just the view of him riding an ATV lol).

supp this very much . I got better feel in 3rd person , Besides even devs do their every dlc trailers in 3rd person. It s simply enjoyable to see character in the game . 1st person is great for aiming or scanning on binos , but there should be an option to switch when travelling COTW

Why cant I have this perspective of my own character without multi player.... Cosmetics and outfits would mean so much more. I might even buy some cosmetic and outfit dlc's ... 37

If its the word I'm thinking of, Not wanting to hear the word is one thing. But comparing it directly to a word that's been used to dehumanize (label them as less than human) and discriminate and saying its "just as bad" is another.

@midnight basalt great pics and shows can be achieved with a mixture of third and first person ... this would add so much to the game .... Make it so EW!!!

For pics of course but not just for pics .... with 3rd person view you can see your outfits and cosmetics as well as enjoy the beautiful environments more .... It just makes sense ....

Still be really nice to have this option, it would make the clothing a worthwhile buy at least. Especially for exclusively single player folks. We have 3rd person on the ATV so why not on foot?

when riding an atv the camera will rotate 360 degrees so don't see why they cant add this without too much of a problem .....

don't think they are being lazy .... if you read this feedback section there are so many ideas to implement and only so many hours in a day .... I will agree however that it is more beneficial for them and for the game to keep the focus on those ideas that can bring in more revenue ....

This is why I wish they would add a subscription service to bring in revenue .... But if they were to do that then many would quite or not play if they had to pay a sub ....

don’t want to better the game without it being a dlc what they don’t get is if they start working on the game itself people will stick around more and buy more DLCs that they love so much

How exactly could it go over badly? It's not like we expect a gta style character view. Simply being an over the shoulder camera would be a massive improvement, you could see the weapon you paid to customize more easily, there'd be a reason to buy the in game clothing to change your look, it would be MUCH easier to see if something is actually blocking your line of sight and shot.

Devs could quite easily prevent this by setting the camera height correctly ... Also keep in mind that aiming and glassing would almost require a camera switch to first person .... So not really exploitable ...111

I would say camera height/position like it is on the ATV in third person would be a good starting point .... then allow 360 degree rotation around the hunter ...

can only imagine the outfits and cosmetics I would buy if we could see ourselves in 3rd person ... I would at least have a different outfit for every reserve ....

For those down voting this Idea we are only asking for it to be optional .... You can still hunt in 1st person if that's your preference ..... @violet forge ... @golden rain

Sure third person is necessary for pictures but would also be nice to have as an option while hunting. The main purpose would be able to see what clothes your wearing ...

This would open up all kinds of dlc options like different kinds of hunting clothes

Also as mentioned in the OP that could give players the option of using third person when walking, running and crawling but auto switch to first person when aiming, using binocs or pressing the first to third person toggle .....

The benefit for EW and some Players would be able to see and enjoy cosmetics ... Currently no one cares what they are wearing because you really cant see it in first person ....

I don't really care to purchase cosmetics packs for a first person game .... I mean whats the point if you cant see them ... Likewise I think EW is missing an opportunity to create some clothing DLC's but then again whats the point if players can see them and enjoy them ....

And it seems as if this would be a fairly straight forward addition to the game because they already have 3rd person for ATV riders ....

A better option would just be trophy shots. It’s the best of both worlds. A lot of people don’t really think third person is a great idea, but many of those same people want trophy shots. You can show off your outfit and your weapon cosmetics. Also people would use it to their advantage to see more than first person players could. Like you could see a tiger behind you, which ruins suspense when you hear a growl.

Using tigers as an example ..... I don't think switching to or from 3rd person would be any quicker than turning or looking around in first person .... As long as the aspect ratio remains basically the same and the camera is controlled over the shoulder there should be no real advantage one way or the other....

In fact in that situation 1st person would be more of an advantage because you don't have your body blocking the view.... so there would need to be some kind of toggle like we have with ATV's .... And when hunting tigers I may just choose to stay in first person for that very reason ....

In fact some people will choose to continue to hunt in 1st person and only switch to third person briefly to view the terrain from that perspective ..... Thanks for your opinion and feedback ...
