I've noticed that the most recently released maps have a significantly higher number of species than earlier reserves. I'm assuming that this is probably something to do with being competitive in the current market of hunting games, but it's a great trend and hope it continues with new reserves. These more abundant maps, especially with many more smaller game like rabbits, waterfowl and gamebirds, make the hunting experience feel a little bit more immersive and fuller with all these species around you. Sometimes I like to go out with a shotgun and just shoot things and not worry about diamonds, great ones, rare furs etc.
I'm hoping, overtime, we will see many more species backfilled on earlier maps. I feel like a good number per map is about 12-14 species without over saturating the reserves.
Obviously, this is a huge undertaking and would be a slow process taking months or years. These are merely my thoughts on this just wanted to express that the more extensive species populations are very much appreciated.
