Funny enough Val-de-bois in Classic was based on the French Alps

Also for anyone curious about Corsican Mouflon here is a link https://grandslamclub.org/species/french-mainland-corsican-mouflon/

The only thing I might say could be replaced is the Red-breasted Goose with the Greylag Goose

Mostly because the Red-breasted Goose seems to be listed as “Vagrant” (aka occasionally shows up)

Though both the Red-legged Partridge and Wood Pigeon would also be good additions

Could look like this

For a start the Great One Boar could have noticeably larger tusk (TruTusk or TruSize maybe)
They could also have a noticeable mane (like this Indian Wild Boar in the image)

For fur variations I am not sure on that

I’d hope they would consider to crank the hostility up for a specimen of this, size.

You don’t get to be the biggest boar without competition.

Even a regular pig can take the calf-muscle off of your leg before you could register pain.

This G.O. could be a real tough, territorial, vegan’s nightmare.

They should have him spawn solo.. When you enter his domain, Peppa Pig begins hunting you. 🐗

I Honestly Want The Next Map To Be Asia Rather Than Canadian Arctic. Asia Has Been So Incredibly Neglected Yet It’s An Amazing Place To Hunt. Central Asia Has Tons Of Wild Sheep, Goats, Bears, Wolves, Maral Stags, Saiga Antelope, And A Whole Plethora Of Upland Birds. Southeast Asia Has Many Kinda Of Deer And Antelope As Well As Wild Bovids Like Anoa, Water Buffalo, Gaur, And Banteng, With Wild Dogs Like Dholes, Dingoes, And New Guinea Singing Dogs. It’s A Nearly Untapped Market Out Side Of Medved Taiga (Which I May Add Is Easily The Least Realistic Map That We Have, Being That It’s Set In The Yamal Peninsula Where There Are No Lynx, Bears, Capercaillie, And ESPECIALLY Not Siberian Musk Deer, Which Are Found On The Other Side Of Russia Near Manchuria And Mongolia).

# full grove Hmm, Then I Guess They’re Off Limits Since Basically All Of Laos, Vietnam, Burma...

The only hunting in Nepal currently is mainly for Himalayan Blue Sheep (Bharal) and Himalayan Tahr with some Indian Wild Boar & Muntjac (and it takes place on the only hunting reserve in the country)

Then the aforementioned Malaysia does have some big game hunting (mainly on the Island of Borneo) for water buffalo, sambar deer, saltwater crocodile and 2 types of wild pigs (Indonesian Wild Boar and Bearded Pig)

Yeah Then Unfortunately They Are Off Limits Then Unless EW Decides To Be Bold And Make An Illegal Species Come Out.

Another Species Id Like To See Would Be The Apennine Wolf. It Would Definitely Be A More Controversial Species (As I Do Not Believe They Can Be Hunted), But It Would Be Cool. It Could Almost Be Like The Iberian Wolves.

Not all wolves can be hunted at all in France, although that would be interesting and I remember as a Frenchman that certain broadcasts talked about wolf regulation. This means that if the prefect explains that a number of wolves must be killed, you can. But it seems to me that today this is no longer the case and it is a completely protected species, Otherwise the rest of the animals that you have put are interesting

# celest dock Not all wolves can be hunted at all in France, although that would be interestin...

I can almost guarantee someone somewhere is controlling the population through either trapping or hunting and it's just not being publicized. Predator prey balance, human conflict, territorial boundaries all demand a certain amount of population control. It's exactly the same as in the States when wolves were reintroduced. They were handled quietly and out of the public eye. Not hard to imagine getting a task to cull 3 or 4 to help the roe deer population bounce back from a hard winter

#

Gotta admit, I always wanted to play Val de Bois but no PC for classic, this map may not mirror it but I'm still intrigued. Boar GO sounds cool but eh, I'm no grinder

celest dock
#

There was a site, I don't remember its name, but basically you can actually shoot a wolf but only for 3 reasons. And photo of proof that it is what I call an HP, that is to say a huntable species only if the prefect authorizes the collection

#

France is the country of hunting in Europe, the average of huntable species is 25 in Europe, in France we hunt around a hundred species in total, with some like the capercaillie endangered or extinction locally. But otherwise if we don't think about the huntable species and we choose the animals found in France regardless. You can see impressive wild animals whether horses or bulls etc...

topaz thunder
#

Honestly, this is a game and nothing it does could affect the real world besides bringing a little enjoyment so regs shouldn't be an issue for any reason.

However, I'm very sure that a secondary program the government is not mentioning is at working tranquilizing and moving wolves or shooting them to prevent overpopulation in areas that can't sustain them or to prevent disease. That said, it makes no difference in game.

Also, I have to say I'm really surprised how much hunting actually takes place in France. And at least what I'm reading about seems very . . . showy

celest dock
#

Don't worry about wolf overpopulation, because there simply aren't any. They have been there in France for too short a time. And overall the French love them even if the fear is persistent. Then, I completely agree with you, it's a game so as the animals are virtual, you can have any animals. Afterwards I admit that I am not a fan of seeing certain animals. For example many want pigeons etc. but I saw them more as decorative animals. But the animals he chose are realistic. If he wants a chamois guy. The chartreuse chamois is a chamois which has recently been considered to be of the same subspecies as that of the Alps, except that it is a little larger, slightly larger and has a darker color, it is endemic of the Chartreuse massif which is located in the Alps (at least right next to it).

I only put ducks in my map because I found it more interesting because they have beautiful plumage, quite strong for some. But otherwise yes, the pigeons are not a big fan. In addition it seems to me that there are already pigeons as decorative birds on Hirshfelden, I should check that, but it seems to me once I had zoomed in and I saw a pigeon, but I still doubt it.

topaz thunder
#

There are those little white birds you occasionally see, although I've never studied them close enough to to say. Either way, geese annoy me enough there so I'd rather not add pigeons.

I wouldn't mind capercailie tho
