#Community Made Cosmetics

Using a system similar to CS2 and TF2's, COTW could have a workshop that creators could upload gun skins or any other cosmetic textures and models to, for the community to vote on, and for the developers to choose and add to the game as DLC packs, or whatever other way they'd be distributed. Once a person's item would be added to the game, they would get paid an amount that the devs would decide.

The cosmetic customizations could range from simple gun and ATV skin textures for newer artists, to fully modeled and textured accessories for things like the bloodhound for more experienced creators.

This would provide the game with constant fresh content as players design gun skins, and maybe come up with new types of cosmetics, and let the community have more of a say in what gets in the game.

There's so many things I can see that I could easily make cool cosmetics for in this game, and I'm sure there are many others in this community that know how to make and modify 3D assets. If set up correctly, this could bring a lot of attention to the currently somewhat stale topic of customization.

TLDR; Workshop that pays creators/players to make various types of cosmetics for COTW that devs would pick out

I don't like the idea either

I think people would actually create some at the start but the hype will go down and the number of created skins would go down

It would require to make some kind of a access to the textures and models which would be pretty hard to do + would you really rely on the fanbase to make itself new content all the time?

The game just isn't made for this, easy as it might sound

the game’s cosmetics wouldn’t become completely reliant on the community, and models and textures aren’t that hard to access unless they’re encrypted behind 3 different file types, all you have to do is find your game’s models folder
