#Remote E-Caller, have the caller reset upon pickup

also ecalle should be made that when placed it becomes lighter
If you have 1 spot on the map that you decide to leave it in, you shouldn't have a 5 weight controller on you at all times
Weight is being used as a limiting factor to retain game balance, not simulate reality. This is similar to the "heavy" rangefinder bow sight that weighs as much as some weapons.
Yes that is understandable but I think that when you put it down the controller should weigh 1 or 0,5. Meaning you can only use it at one location or change your loadout to pick it up. Which makes more sense if you want to leave it in an area and sometimes come back to it when you can only hunt the one species. so the calle itself keeps its weight. I mean how stupid would it be to put it down change loadout, shoot some stuff, change loadout pick it up and repeat.
The remote is, of course, lighter than the entire caller in reality, but my point was that the entire reason for the 5 units of weight is due to game balance. You can't do as you suggested (put the caller down, go load up on other things as the weight has been cleared) because it would provide too great of an advantage. (The same can be said for the range-finder bow sight or other items that "weigh" more than they do in reality like the bird callers.) Think of "game weight" more as "equipment points" that you can spend on a set amount of items, but not more, regardless of reality. Other games (e.g. Diablo) handle this by equipment grids that prevent you from carrying too many items, regardless of their real weight and/or size.
Yes, I understand but I don't think the controller having less points on its own makes it too op. Because you can't move it you can only get max45 kill if you use a bow and a hunting stand, and still how do you plan to get that many animals out there. That is like a real challenge in itself. Making the controller more lightweight doesn't have that much impact. The only gain you have is when you leave it somewhere, you can circle around with more gun options than normal, But still if you were using a bow and going for the 45 kill limit when. You can't move it, that is all lightweight, so that doesn't really change.
Hello ItzPress,
Thank you for your suggestion regarding the Remote E-Caller. We appreciate your input and understand your request for an improvement in how the caller behaves when picked up and placed again.
It's a valid point that having the caller reset upon pickup can provide players with more control over the calls they want to use. We'll consider this idea for potential enhancements in future updates.
While we can't make any specific promises, your feedback is valuable to us, and we'll explore ways to make the Remote E-Caller more user-friendly and convenient.
Feel free to share any other ideas or suggestions you might have in the future. Your input helps us make the game even better. Thank you for being a part of our community!
no prob, I imagine that's how it usually goes
Mine resets every time I pick it up.
I really like the E-caller.. I just wish this caller was a fast travel point, since I keep f#%king forgetting to pick it up. 😆
I really think that would cause more harm than good with the mechanic of the weight and how items in the loadout work. While I understand and agree as a whole, the way the game is set up now it doesn’t seem feasible. I really wouldn’t want to be under the impression that I can pick up my e-caller when I get to it only to find out that I did the weight math wrong and adjusted my loadout wrong and now I can’t pick it up. The way it works now is simply to avoid something like that from happening.
