Not sure if anyone else has encountered this but on my trying it out yesterday, near a herd of Roosevelt Elk either eating or resting, I'd play the caller to no effect, yet 2 times moose would just dart towards the caller.

Is this not one point of the skill tree, that you attract animals which are not called?
Here.... the caller is calling ever 1..5 seconds. So the chance is much higher to attract another species as using the caller manually only 2...3..4 times a minute
