I remembered recently just how useful and how utilitarian .357’s are used for just about everything except wing shooting and Elephant hunting.So it’s quite surprising to see the .357 only having a 2-6 class range.EW could either make it a 2-8 or make a new bullet grain (125 grains jacketed hollow point) that is a 4-8.they could also add snake shot,which would only be a class 1 shell.

I also got sidetracked by the whole new ammo thing,The current ammo needs a buff,it should easily go in and then out of hogs.

i don't see the .357 being an 8, besides, we don't have many 2-6 weapons anyway and too many 4-8.
That aside, i love the cartridge and it has so much potential as a rifle cartridge. lever actions are super common and very popular (cheap ammo, no recoil, effective for hunting any deer in the U.S., good for defense too) I personally love the lever action platform but Ruger makes a really cool bolt action in .357 magnum and .44 magnum. I also would't mind an ultralight singleshot or over/under paired with a 20 ga barrel

It is used for elk,and does fairly well.
