The moradi .44 has an effective range of 250m, it uses a pistol cartridge

I'd really expect the lever rifles to get a big change, both in range and penetration. the .45-70 and .30-30 are both awfully underpowered and severely need adjustment. I'd expect them to have a longer range and deeper penetration than the pistol caliber.

Honestly, it should be backwards, the pistol cartridge should have a range of 150m and the rifles should have 250m ranges. The moradi can even use modern scopes and the two base game rifles can't

I’ve tried neck shots on crocs and lung shots on Grizzlies with the .45/70 but it’s character-building not getting an ethically quick kill with a proper shot from 100-150M out..

Same results with the .30-30 on deer. 😯

Penetration issue perhaps. 🤔

When I first started playing, they were both fantastic. reliable and bullets went all the way thru the animals. Then Scoring 2.0 broke everything and made them into pellet guns

Hey, keep in mind the minimum kinetic energy for deer is usually reccomended to be 1000 pounds. And ................. Ballistics tables

These are straight from Buffalobore.com, they make incredibly good ammo for all kinds of hunting. The .45-70 load is their "dangerous game" load because class 9 is all technically dangerous game (should include brown bears/grizzlies)

i know they say it's for balance but as an irl hunter with experience with the calibers they've put in game it feels like nothing works right. it's strange to hunt black bear with a .30-30, see the bear drop dead from one shot and looking at the exit wound, then coming to this game and it can't double lung a mule deer
