I think it would be neat if we had dogs for raccoon hunting (like the blue tick coonhound) that could tree the raccoon like in real life.

Raccoons, bear, lions all get “treed” when you bring hunting dogs into the mix. Not sure how that would gel with the current experience of theHunter, but it is a really interesting and creative idea!
Your scenario offers players a chance to practice the practicalities of lining up an upward angle shot with a narrow backstop. That doesn’t happen a whole lot so that would be a refreshing aspect to master.
Watching prey get treed by one or more K9s sounds uniquely exciting as well. I have never seen that in a game! 🤔
Just think of how many closer range weapons are now applicable with this experience. Trying to line up a shot, heart racing from chasing behind the barks of your dog. 😃

Trees don't have hitboxes past a certain point in COTW, so it would be a bigger rework than what's probably worth it.
