I'm sorry to hear you encountered trouble receiving invites from your friends. If you are playing on the Microsoft Store version of the game, please rest assured our team is aware of this happening and the issue is being investigated. In the meantime, we recommend asking your friends to set the multiplayer session's visibility to Public and limit the number of players that can join the server, enabling you to join them from the server list.
