Hello, I apologize in advance for my English; I believe it might not be sufficient to convey my point of view, so I used ChatGPT. I wanted to address the issue of the development system for our hunter in the game. For a game where we can spend a lot of time exploring reserves during hunts, it seems a bit rigid to me, which somewhat diminishes this aspect of the game. The level system and spending points on skills, after a long time in the game, seem to become completely unnecessary, and one doesn't feel progress or satisfaction in the time spent in the game.
I wanted to suggest an alternative system that I find more rewarding and one whose implementation during gameplay would be more natural. In my vision, I would have a system that evolves over time spent on activities during our hunting sessions. Categories that I currently find reasonable include:
Tracking (the aspect of finding tracks, recognizing them, determining the direction of animal movement, and identifying their habitats).
Hunting skills (abilities such as spotting animals, assessing their value, and determining the status of the animal).
Camouflage (the ability to move effectively, how well we can hide from the animal's senses, and the efficient use of available means to conceal our presence).
Luring (how well we can use available decoys and their effectiveness).
Marksmanship (weapon handling, assessing distance and wind direction, and the ability to reduce penalties for using poor ammunition).
Thanks to such a system, a player who starts as an average hunter would become a true expert in their field over time, which would greatly reward the time spent on the game. Of course, milestones would need to be introduced for each category so that changes would be noticeable but not so drastic that within 5 minutes, we become the best in every aspect.
