This is entirely based on my personal preferences and hunting experience, if something doesn't sound right or you know a cartridge better, then let me know.
.270, 6.5, and .30-30/ Amazing weapons that have been obsolete since the Solokhin/Mosin arrived. All of them should be 3-7 class weapons, the .30-30 should be equal to the Mosin inside 200 meters, the 6.5 slightly less powerful, the .270 should be the best 3-7 in the game.
.30-06, .308, .303/ should all be running about equal, not too much difference here to be totally honest.( Edit: I should say, the .308 uses 165 grain bullets much more often than the .30-06 or .303 which normally use 180-200 grain bullets. Meaning the .308 could and has been used for slightly smaller game such as roe deer and axis deer/ it could be a 3-8 or a better 3-7 than the .270)
.300 magnum, 7mm magnum/ both incredibly useful BIG GAME cartridges but if we're honest very few people use either one for Whitetail sized animals, both have a pretty heavy recoil and destroy a lot of meat unless you have some distance between you and that buck. Rather see these as the hardest hitting 4/5-8 class weapons ( most folks want to use the .300 on class 6 critters like red deer, mule deer, and sambar/rusa)
.45-70, .338, 9.3x74R/ these are versatile calibers for the biggest and baddest game. 6-9 classes, the whole point of these calibers is to hunt the big stuff.
Most of the rest of the rifles are pretty solid in all fairness BUT : right now there are guns that work and guns that just don't, totally unfair
This allows for personal preference, all the calibers have a place and a use, and we can choose to hunt with the ones we like the most and not feel like its pointlessly underpowered.
WE AREN'T ASKING FOR META GEAR SETS JUST ENOUGH BALANCE THAT WE CAN CHOOSE WHAT WE WANT TO HUNT WITH
