Environment:
The map will be split in half representing middle and East Tennessee.
The middle (west half): this area will be made up of mostly wild fields and local farm crops with scattered clumps of oak, pine and other native trees. Throughout this section there will be a variety of ponds and marshes making up the necessary water sources.
The east: East Tennessee is known for its mountainous environment with small creeks running through the hollers. This region will be more forested but will have plenty of large fields and openings. There will be one small creek running north-south covering half of the map along with small ponds throughout.

Bonus feature:
East Tennessee contains the famous Smoky Mountains National Park which contains dozens of old home sites. I think this would be a nice lore addition along with rusty farm implements scattered throughout the west region

Elk and Whitetail is definitely a yes from me.

Whitetail aren’t really a necessity since we have so many maps of them already but it wouldn’t really feel like Tennessee without them

You don't really find gray foxes where there's lots of coyotes. Coyotes will opportunistically kill gray foxes whenever they can.

If EW is feeling adventurous there’s always the possibility of some escaped invasive species. Iirc a herd of red deer or sika escaped somewhere in middle Tennessee a few years ago and they are growing fairly fast
Edit: I hate this time delay

WT and red deer on the same map? That'd be fun

That or a SHOTGUN .410 would be my pick

I’m just going off what I’ve heard for the gray foxes in middle Tennessee cause over here in the east I’ve only seen 2 or 3 ever.

Feral goats are a good possibility too, used to be a place I went called coyote tail ridge, had a couple dozen goats living there year round and folks would hunt them. few other places had em too

My family didn't like goat so i never hunted them much, usually shot one for camp food if I was gonna camp and hunt a weekend. that or feral pig

idk if they would be an interesting thing to hunt but the last few years I started seeing a ton of armadillos there. mostly as road kill, but i've seen as many as six in a drive

quiet pewter
#

I completely forgot those. They haven’t quite reached me yet but I’ve seen them while camping out in fall creek falls. What do you think they’d be classed as? 3?

candid nest
quiet pewter

They seem pretty dang tough from what I’ve seen but 2 makes sense

Wait hold on, kwak is in TN?

candid nest
#

yeah apparently, he lived like an hour away before I moved. not too far from Cookeville

quiet pewter
#

I would never have guessed lol

candid nest
#

yeah, weird that so many people from the same area ended up on the discord huh?

Oh yeah, Everybody I knew hunted with a levergun of some sort, and most of them had a .410 single shot in the truck "that's for pot shooting, rabbits and such"

quiet pewter
#

All I can come up with for a new weapon is a old style lever action or a semi/pump auto .410. One interesting gun that would be kinda forgotten for most would be a old hunting musket with TN’s history of Daniel Boone and Davey Crockett

#

Or even a muzzle loading pistol

candid nest
#

How bout a bolt action? Believe it or not I knew an old fella who had a bolt action .410 he hunted squirrels with

quiet pewter
#

That’s something I’ve not heard of but could be interesting. There’s no other shotgun like it in game yet

candid nest
#

Right? I had and hunted with a bolt action 20ga for a while. It had a choke system on the barrel that you could tighten down for shot loads or loosen up for slugs, made for a good gun to have on hand

quiet pewter
#

Now that’s unique

candid nest
#

It was a Westernfield iirc, had a 3 round drop box magazine and notch rear sight with a big brass bead up front

quiet pewter
#

Another good environment addition would be a large network of caves and cave entrances. Iirc East Tennessee has one of the largest networks of caves in the US

candid nest
#

Found one, bolt action .410

There’s a cave on my Papaw’s place but I’ve not explored it yet

Man, I kinda miss home now
