Game requiring verification of files every time I open it

So me and a friend got the game when it was free on the epic store a month or so ago, and every single time we try to open it, it says gives a weird error but it fixes after being verified. It wouldn't have been a problem if it only happened once, but it happens every time I try to open it in different days.
