#Animal Render Distance upped to 6-700 meters

I know this is probably a common wish for this game, but as I’ve been playing I’ve noticed that the render distance for animals needs a dire update. Many of the maps have large tracts of open land, where this issue is especially present (emerald coast beaches, northern areas on parque, lakes on medved) but all of the maps have a few areas where this can start to be a problem, like the lakes on rancho or the rivers on Layton. Its also not as though this would make the game too easy, as rifles only zero to 300m. Just a simple slider in the options is all I’m asking for.

If there’s going to be a render distance update I’d love to see the zeroing for rifles have 600m

The issue with this would be the high end PCs that very few people can afford would have a major advantage over the ps4s, old PCs, etc. so I doubt this would happen just because it would make the game unfair and that seems like something EW would want to avoid

“You’ll need a nasa pc for this” lol

# pastel bobcat I agree but they could make this an option in settings

What I’m saying is that you’ll have an advantage over everyone else the higher end setup you have. So the people with a low budget would only be able to run it with the lower render distance but people who are able to drop several thousand dollars on a pc would be able to have a few hundred meters more than others.

It’s still an advantage. And you just gave me another point. Imagine being in multiplayer trying to hunt but some guy with a 700m render distance shoots something that you didn’t even know existed.

No guns can shoot 700 metres away reliably most people are gonna shoot at 300M max

That makes more sense but it’s still unlikely for fairness between all players

The game engine can't handle higher distances without becoming unstable. It's been brought up a few times on official streams.

Rendering distance bump.
Across all maps the rendering is janky. I have crocs that fall from the sky 50yds in front of me on Emerald beach and couldn't see these moose with the naked eye until I was sub 300yds and then it was only one until I used binoculars to reveal the rest of the heard.

EW has said before it’s not possible to up the render even 50 because of how many more animals that would spawn and thus take a bigger toll on the gaming system. Here is my solution however. If you want to hunt every animal on the map use a slider to up the render assuming your device will handle it. But if you are like me every time I have wished for the render to be upped I’ve only been hunting one or two species on the map so my suggestion is to select what species you want to see at the beginning of your hunt (every time you log off or change maps it resets) so that only those animals will appear on the map thus lowering the number animals in render allowing for a larger render distance. I assume this makes sense if not I’ll try to explain where I need to.
