NEM 'Make a difference' mission still not working

I managed to get this to work after about 10 tries (please see below) but people are still having problems with this mission and it is clearly still bugged.

I've managed to get this to work after about 10 tries. Can't say exactly what I did differently other than approach the bush from behind on the 10th'ish attempt (so facing lake).

My steps for Xbox after 5 failed attempts:

1. Placed tent 50 metres away from bush location.
2. Exited game. Force quit.
3. Entered game at tent location.
4. Went into settings and turned off Missions.
5. Exited game. Force quit.
6. Entered game at tent.
7. Went into settings and turned on Missions.
8. Walked to bush and removed it.

On the 10th'ish attempt, I suddenly progressed to the next mission and received 2500 credit reward.

I can confirm that this mission is still broken (at least on Xbox series S). At the second collection site, I found and collected 5 plants (see photo). The mission showed completed, the subsequent dialogue from Trev and Doc played, and the mission still appears as the active story mission on Hunter mate and in mission log.

I returned to the second collection site, and found a single plant (see photo). I collected the plant. But nothing changed. I’ve tried toggling the mission system off-on. But that didn’t help.

Thanks @rich tendon. I got it! Set up a tent near the second plant collection location. Turn off missions. Log out. Log in. Turn in missions. Collect plant. Had to do it a few times, but I finally got the cash reward and next story mission.
