Losing animals in lodge

I have lost a few animals trying to swap where they are in my lodge. I’ve lost a rare and 3 diamonds from this. I didn’t care too much until just now I went to move my first diamond I ever got to a better spot and now it’s gone forever. On Xbox btw

I actually managed to get the first ever diamond back from retrieving it from the trophy manager it said it was still on the wall but when I tried that with a previous diamond it just turned into a silver wonky red deer that I don’t even remember saving. I’m pretty sure it only happens when I do swap trophy instead of remove trophy
