Hello folks just dropping an idea that doesn't really fit elsewhere. A dedicated slug hunting shotgun.
This gun is fully rifled, meaning it can't use shot of any type, but it can and does use slug ammo much better. this would kinda require a little change in ammo but i have a good explanation. Change the old 20 ga slug to a 3-7, and this new ammo could be 4-8. This shotgun acts like a high caliber rifle, meaning there's a lot of power but a lot of drop. it would suffer the same range restriction as the lever action rifles. reaching the outer range at 150m or so. That being said, I'm showing the 20ga model, but they do offer a 12ga which honestly has a wider selection of ammo and way more power behind. Honestly, the 20ga would hurt no feelings as a 2-6/3-7 weapon. Anyway.
This would be based of either the Savage 220a or 212 models. The ammo is from Tar-hunt if you wanna read more about the Shrifle ammo. I think this gun would pair best with the 2-7x32 Slug Hunter scope made by Nikon. (a 2-7x32 for the rifles would be an incredibly welcome addition too)
