I had made a suggestion before the revamp of the suggestions section so I thought I'd repost this. Thankfully I had my backup text file.
Preface:
We've got a few classic battle weapons in the game or civilian and civilianized(is that even a word?😂 ) versions. We got the civilian sporterized version Lee-Enfield .303 with Te Awaroa, the Mosin-Nagant 1891/44 as the Solokhin MN 1890 in the Weapon Pack 2 DLC, we got the civilian M1 Garand "Iwaniec" in the Smoking Barrels Pack DLC.
Suggestions:
I would love to see a future classic weapons dlc, especially classic bolt-action rifles.
I would love to see stuff like the Mauser Kar. 98K(maybe with an optional ZF41 scope?) or the G98 rifle from which it derived.
A version of the M1903 Springfield rifle that was the standard rifle of the U.S. Army until 1936 and still served as a sniper rifle up to, and including, the Vietnam War.
Perhaps a French Lebel Model 1886 rifle or a Berthier rifle?
Maybe a Martini-Henry rifle known from the Anglo-Zulu War and the Boer Wars.
The Japanese Arisaka Type 99 is also a suggestion.
We have a lot of nice revolvers, but any thought about perhaps a Colt .45 M1911 for small to medium game? I know this is one of the weaker suggestions due to possible balancing concerns and don't expect it to happen*, but I feel I want to include it anyway as one of the most iconic pistols of the 20th century and especially in a game with a good deal of solid pistol hunting.
*Feels less unexpected now that we have the 10mm Davani semi-automatic.
As we have a good history of CotW revolvers, perhaps a British Webley Mk.VI service revolver? Other revolver suggestions also include the Colt M1861 Navy and the Nagant M1895.
I know some of my suggestions like Kar98 and the M1903 Springfield(or at least an M1903 Springfield-looking .30-06) are in Classic and it would be nice to see them in CotW.
Thank you for your consideration.
