I have been playing this game since day one. I have all the DLCs. I love the game; however, what I absolutely hate is the unrealistic recoil. I have been shooting for over 50 years, and have shot just about every caliber weapon made. Every high-power rifle has breech energy, not muzzle energy. This means, the recoil is back, and not so much upwards. The energy is mostly absorbed through the human body.

Basically, I am sick of seeing sky every time I shoot. Not to mention, it is so inaccurate it is not fun! I included two videos depicting three of the most powerful weapons in the game. In the videos, the host shoots the 7mm and .300 from a standing position, and does not see sky! He shoots the 338 Mag on a rest in the other video. This is not a vise rest, it is a v-groove rest, so there is nothing holding the rifle down. Please fix the recoil in the game. Make it true-to-life AND fun, as a Sim should be!

Speaking of true-to-life (realism), why is the character in this game such a clodhopper? Who the heck hunts this way? Why does he have to walk so heavily and clumsily. It would be nice to have a feature to walk the heel-to-toe, two step method. This is a hunting tactic where one takes two steps (without making a noise), stops, looks around. Repeats. Yes, the character would also have a normal walk, but this clodhopping needs to go. Additionally, the latest update added the Fleeing indicator, and now all I see are animals fleeing at 300–400+ meters. Not fun! How is that even possible? Exit to desktop time!?!

Thank you for all your hard work!

So you are suggesting keeping the wobble but reduce the recoil to true to life. A lot of people want true to life in here so let's see how this goes lol. Just wondering if they always want true to life or just when it benefits lol. All kidding aside they probably won't reduce it because it slows grinding down.

@granite galleon no. I was saying they won't reduce the recoil because having recoil slows down grinding

Ahhh gotcha. That was my thinking as well. I think the recoil is where it is more so for game balance than realism

I'm on console so I know it would help me if I'm grinding lol

I'm also on console but the recoil is very manageable in my opinion, the wobble is honestly what gets me the most but it's also manageable

I'm also someone who has a ton of hours in games like r6 where you have to control recoil

@minor imp Honesty the recoil doesn't bother me either. I play Battlefield quite often so used to it as well.

I don't grind! I don't really care about "Big Ones!" I'm not a LookaMe (vain) type of player. who has to fill up all lodges with trophies. I like to hunt and do the missions, you know, play the game. But, I guess the Devs will do what sells!
