Another throwing weapon idea
Bolas were used by The Gauchos to hunt Guanacos and Rheas, it was 2 balls or more on a rope, one on each end, and they would entangle the legs of the animal from running.
I could picture these as a way to stop a fleeing animal to get a quick shot in before it continues running.

Ok good idea but how would we do that really are you going throw a rope with heavy rocks on the end more then like 4 or 5 meters and in the photo you see them about 1 or 2 meters away from the animal and there on a horse to be that close
