Playing on Xbox One. War On Pests mission. All other objective working and incrementing fine. However, harvesting 10 fallow dear with a handgun isn’t working when using the 10mm Davani G4LS is this expected? #📜︴support

Is the 10mm in hand when picking up the animal? Picking up with binoculars in hand for example will not register.

Yeah doesn’t count it would seem. Just harvested another ensuring I had in hand at the time. Nothing! Daft really as it states any handgun 🙄

Seems like they need to hire a beta tester to vet the missions before they release them. It's easy to mess up code by forgetting or misplacing one character—or even a space. But this is a pretty obvious goof. Seems like the variable ident for a handgun should be universal.

Yes - there are problems with many DLC weapons not being recognized by missions. I submitted a ticket for War on Pests and mentioned the Davani issue as well. When EW support replied, they said that the DLC weapons issue was being worked on, and that they had a fix for the mission in the works.

They have gotten better about fixes. The thing is, people who want fixes need to 1)learn how to report issues and 2)actually report them, as well as providing all the info (save games, etc.) in order for them to find the problems. Even so, this issue seems a rather glaring miss from a programming standpoint. Either they failed to standardize their variables / triggers or they were sloppy.
