I’m not a dev however they have spoken about this topic often,the answer is no,sadly.

"Endangered' is very relative. Some of the species like gray wolf, are endangered in dome habitats, but not others. Honestly, why that should matter in a game baffles me. I mean there are myriads of games that have illegal / unethical practices built ino them.

Not really, "Endangered" is an international legal category assigned to animals that are at risk of disappearing from their natural habitat, if hunting is strictly regulated or prohibited

For now the studio wants to stay away from those animals and not add them.
In the last survey that the study carried out, that was one of the polling points, however they did not give more details or reveal the result of it.

But an animal may be 'endangered' in one area, but not in another like gray wolves - endangered in the US, but not Canada. In addition, subspecies are often not differentiated. African Lions, for example, while classed as vulnerable and not endangered for the species as a whole, have had several local subspecies rendered extinct all the same. It is, point of fact, a video game. I understand not encouraging poaching, and encouraging conservation, but again, this is a game and there is no harm done to real species, there is no really good factual /lregal ethical reason to disallow hunting any digital animal. But to each his own. I don't care one way or the other. I'll hunt what's on the maps.
