I'm trying to work on the "Living Fossil" mission in Emerald coast. Been sitting and calling down plenty of geese, but they leave no track, no droppings. None. It's like they never were there. I've seen 50-75 geese since sunrise and not one track or piece if magpie poop. Gators left track (and poop) - pigs left tracks (and poop) theres Sambar tracks (and poop) from when I got there before dawn, but the magpie are leaving nothing behind. Rest area, feeding, whatever ... nada.

This worked for me. I had to run at them a time or two, but eventually there was enough.

Yeah, that will probably be random luck for me. And having to take a photo of a melanistic banteng (and not shoot it beforehand!!) is going to be even worse.

but for the poop shortage.
ideally you need to call them slowly, let them land and wiat for them to run away.
once they start running away you need to run and try to check for poop.
one poop at a time saves nine.

Yeah, you're right. Rooster got one: https://youtu.be/nIXWuJOR5Ec?t=263 (also in the lodge at the end). He also managed to get a GO Fallow to spawn in his animal park.

The other problem is when you shoot geese and by the time you get to them there are no blood spots, tracks, or traces(poop) of any kind that they were ever there. I can’t reliably hunt geese at all on any map due to this. It only seems to be the goose species that have this issue for me.

Think that’s because they have flown out of range. Got that on Revon a lot. It was when a shot didn’t down it instantly and they flew off.

Nope. I’ve actually watched a goose fall out of the air and into the woods, but not sure of the exact location. When I go to try and track it, there is no evidence that ANY geese were ever in the area. Even though there may have been 8-10 of them there when I took the shot.

if I one-shot them, I can go pick them up. If they fly off, they disappear. Got the piebald! @prisma garnet - it may be a goosey issue for sure. I'm going to see if I can get a video to send up to support.

Sometimes you can, but you have to be fast. If you wait to go after them, they often disappear.
