Africa 2.0 - South Africa

I think a lot of people would agree that a new Africa/Safari map is much needed. There is a big variety of animals when it comes to Safari. Below are some animals that I think would work well in a new Africa/Safari map and that would be a great addition to the game.

I know there are quite a few, I just want to highlight the possibilities that the map could have.

Class 1:

• Guineafowl
• Francolin
• Spurfowl
• Egyptian Goose
• African Pygmy Goose

Class 2:

• Cape Porcupine
• Vervet Monkey

Class 3:

• Klipspringer
• Caracal
• Chacma Baboon

Class 4:

• Impala
• Blesbok
• Nyala
• Bushpig

Class 5:

• Spotted Hyena
• Ostrich

Class 6:

• Sable Antelope
• Red Hartebeest
• Cape Mountain Zebra
• Black Wildebeest

Class 7:

• Nile Crocodile

Class 8:

• Common Eland
• Greater Kudu
• Waterbuck

Class 9:

• Giraffe
• Hippopotamus

New Weapon:

• .375 H&H Magnum - Class 7-9

Notes:

• Spotted Hyena move around in packs and can get aggressive towards the player if you get to close (Similar behaviour to grey wolves in Yukon)
• Although Francolin and Spurfowl seem very similar at first glance, Francolin are slightly smaller in size. Furthermore Francolin tend to fly away for a short distance when they feel threatened whereas Spurfowl tend to run away in seek of thick brush.

It's a great list, but everyone wants the 2nd Africa map to be the end of the game. Because for some reason, we can have six NA maps, but 2 in Africa means tha game is dead

I’d love to see Blesbok added as either a class 4 or class 6 to really bring together the South African Antelope species

There were a few animals that were tough to choose a class for since there aren’t any similar animals in the game yet

Vurhonga Savanna is in southern Africa. So while I am sure this proposal would be nice, it's long the lines of suggesting a minor variation of Layton Lakes. Why not something elsewhere in Africa? It's a big continent.

Dozens of species, maybe as many biomes, Africa could be just as map heavy as NA without feeling overdone

I was only venting annoyance at EW's choice to exclude Africa's most popular camp meat animal, an animal as widespread in African hunting as white tailed deer are to NA hunters, from the one and only Africa map we have

What I meant is that there's no gazelle species that actually have the word "gazelle" in their name (Thomson's Gazelle, Grant's Gazelle, etc.) in southern Africa. Yes the Springbok is technically considered a type of gazelle, but when people think of gazelles, I don't think the Springbok is what they think of. We also already have the Springbok in the game.

Lesser kudu live in Uganda Kenya and the Horn of Africa definitely not in Southern Africa

Being totally up front, I don't give a shit about elephants or rhinos, gimme the plains game every freaking time. Hippos and a 416 bolt action OLD SCHOOL SAFARI RIFLE and a map focused on antelope species, perfection, don't give a rat's ass about elephants

exactly! and africa 2.0 doesnt have to be the end.. this suggestion only covers south africa and it isn’t even a fraction of the possibilities that africa has.. there can be a 3.0 and even 4.0, just like NA

NA has 6 maps, and Africa could have six with a hell of a lot more differences between them just based on terrain

I know my Zambian reserve has a few of those things (Hippos, Antelope) and my Eastern Cape reserve has no dangerous game

But I may have another map idea to post this weekend that focuses on Antelope in an area that hasn’t been covered yet (just gotta do a bit of research)

I think they should do a Africa map next. It would make a lot of people happy and compete with woth. At some point we will have to get a reserve that will update the older animals. Europe and North American maps need some updating on the animals in my opinion. I will say competing with woth is not hard to do if you ever played it lol. Hate that game lol.

I’m thinking they’re going to give us a Canadian Arctic Map as a buffer for Africa To compete with way of the hunter,because there’s enough old species that it won’t be nearly as much work,

lemme just show this off, .416 Rigby. 4,702 Ft. lbs. (2 freakin' tons) of kinetic energy It can have expanding bullets (soft points) that will double lung an elephant, and solids that cut a path through the head.

I would put Chacma Baboon in class 3 and add vervet monkey to take its place in class 2.

Honestly they should make a class 10 and put Capes,Giraffes,Hippos and whatever else in there just because,me personally I wouldn’t shoot a Cape with a .300.

i think the .416 that was suggested earlier could be either 9-10 or just 10 since it will demolish anything lower than class 9

so class 10 could most likely be added (for any big game added from now on)

Why dose "Africa 2.0" have to be the last map EW releases? Why even stop at just two? If there are tons of different animals and biomes to explore, make all the maps! 🙂
