I want to preface this by saying I love COTW, and after 95 hours of gametime, These are my main suggestions to improve the game, all subjective of course. I hope to hear some feedback :)

  • Button to inspect our weapon, see our skin better. Look at Tarkov, CSGO, Payday2, etc. Press a button (usually L), and the character simply extends his arm and twists it around to get a better look at the full rifle momentarily. Just a nice touch for immersion 👌

  • A button to temporarily hide all hud. (press f11/f12 and hud is gone, press it again, hud is back) please :)

  • Revised gun balistics. I know you have a skill for zero-ing sights, but imagine this alternative solution. Remove the skill, and allow us to zero scopes ourself. Lets say standard zero is 150m, then each scope will have notch increments (that scale with zoom!!), every 10 meters or so for accurate shots. Any decent milsim shooting game has proper balistics, and I hope this game can take inspiration from it. After all, what is a hunting game with not good gunplay.

  • PIP scopes ? :) look at squad as an example.

  • One insignificant issue, but the current range finder is a monocle, one circle "O", yet the view from looking at it is a binocular "O-O", which is just a dev oversight thats quite annoying

  • Optimise the inventory and menu, I really dont like having to scroll through so many things just to find what I need. A search bar too would be great.

  • Total XP is not a helpful stat, how about "XP to next level" ?

Either way, its all love, constructive feedback. Mean no offence! Thank you for reading if you did.

I'd just like to add that the open world sandbox you guys created is truly fantastic, and to me, all I think it needs is a little extra care with optimisation of current game features to truly make it stand out and be perfect. <3

Example of a PIP scopes with proper ranging notches. Given 150 zero, we know how much to aim up using them. - Realism.

#

Example of PIP range finder (importantly, a monocle is a monocle lol)

#

Example of a gun inspect animation to see the gun and skin better. (purely cosmetic and not a priority, just a nice feature)

Not bad, but I think we may be a bit to late into development for any of those. As for weapon inspection, there isnt enough customization in game to warrant this. I think they would need to add more customization into the game, before I would care to have something like this. Personally I do love being able to inspect my equipment in game and not just on a menu screen

I would say they probably wont use F12 for HUD hiding, as its Steams universal screenshot button.. but I dont think F11 has any such associations.
Solid list!!

i like the idea of more realism, but how would the devs implement this in the late stages of the game without having to reprogram legitimately every aspect of every map and your player, the countless weapon types (fix the shottys plz) and everything else. The suggestion is great, I just dont see how it could be worked in this late. Unless the devs have a enormous amount of time on their hands

new features require programming yes

I would like to be able to deactivate the “Press [E] to spot animal” so I could record cool animals from further away

Still no responce from any higher ups 😔

I guess if it isn't a new map or a new gun people just don't care. Polish doesn't make you more money.

Side thought - perhaps even though they haven't said "wow thanks for this idea we love it and will implement it" they are talking amongst themselves on best how to push it forward and make it compatible with what we have already etc

#

Not to say they are or aren't- but - no sense in talking chickens when the eggs (the idea) haven't even hatched yet
