I Absolutely love what they did with Emerald Coast Biomes. I would like to see this more on future decided maps if that particular area would allow it. It gives the map variety so you are not looking at the same thing the whole time. I realize some areas would not be able to incorporate this but it would be great on the ones that can.
#More Of the Transitioning Biomes On Future Maps

I agree that incorporating a variety of landscapes/biomes into one map is a really great way to make a map more interesting, and I would definitely like to see EW do it more in the future.
I think we'll see more of these biome combination systems in the future.
Currently all NA reserves have a heterogeneous system because they are based on a State or a specific Geographical Region, but other environments such as Rancho del Arroyo (Arid Mexico) or the current Emerald Coast (Subtropical Coast of Australia) try to encompass several or all the ecosystems of a country, and since there are not many places left to add or it will not be possible to add several for a single country, we will surely have others 👌
Having various biomes similar to what they did with Emerald Coast would be great for the game. It would bring something to the map for everyone. If you like hunting in rain go to the wetter biome. If you like it dry go to the desert biome. You want mountains go to the Alpine area. You want flat farmland head over to that biome. I just feel it would be great to continue the trend on future maps that they did with the various biomes on Emerald Coast
#1070045518002147458 has tundras, Arctic Islands, mountains, conifer forest and muskeg so I imagine it would have transitional zones between each biome
For example when leaving the boreal forest to the tundras you would see less and less trees until your out in the open tundra
Actually, biomes in cotw isn't a new thing, we have it in some of the older maps too like Yukon, Rancho, Revontuli, and etc. so I don't doubt they'll continue doing that in the future, hopefully more than less
Emerald Coast was definitely more extreme in the various biomes. I hope they continue that trend. I like how you could have a dessert area and a tropical area on the same map.
Obviously some map's you couldn't do that but it's really fun to play on the ones that you can.
In reality it is not a desert area, it is still the Sub-Tropical Outback area without becoming Cold Semi-Arid Outback, so it remains realistic in terms of proximities, each eco-region of the Emerald Coast is transitional from the next just as that in real life, a great job at the same level as Rancho del Arroyo 👌 ..
In real terms the map would cover the entire south east of Australia.
I would still love a true red desert Australia map with red kangaroos that have their kids in the pockets xD (probably not in game lol)
