#BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA Fall Colors Meets Snowy Abyss! New Species, Grizzly, Elk,& Blacktail Rework
1 messages · Page 3 of 1
There's still a pretty nice selection that could come on map like this since a lot of them was left out of the new map.
This is one possible lineup. But there could be other lineups with the amount of species this map has to pick from.
Stone Sheep
Dall Sheep
Grizzly - Remodel
Wolverine
Fisher
Roosevelt or Rocky G1 - remodel ?
Blacktail Deer - Remodel
Mountain Lion - Remodel
Canada Lynx
Badger
Pine Marten
Beaver
Ruffed Grouse
Sooty Grouse
Sandhill Crane
Snow Goose
White-tailed ptarmigan
British Columbia wolf
Coastal Black Bear - that has multiple fur variations of the Kermode and Glacier Bear for rares
When it comes to Kermode and Glacier Bears, I think a new Black Bear variant with those fur types as the rare furs would work, after all a lot of outfitters in the BC Coast and Southeastern Alaska refer to the black bears there as "Coastal Black Bears", which can be the name used
It will probably never happen anyway. One can dream I guess. That name could be good route to go. Im fine with both options if Im ever lucky enough for them to make it to the game.
Changed it to Coastal Black Bear because I feel EW would be more willing to go that direction.
EW could you do us a solid and announce that Elk is the next Great One today. Make our dreams come true🙏
Like I dream of them adding fishing to COTW like one game
Welp, I guess Elk is still the bottom feeder. It's looking like Mule Deer is the new Great One even though the Elk Great One has more upvotes. Hopefully we can get an Elk Great One with this map in the future. Bummer it's probably going to be a while. Maybe we'll get a snowy Elk paridise one day.
It's weird how everything with lower upvotes seems to be what's picked most of the time.
Central Asia map👀
Rather have Stone Sheep, and Wolverine also with the ELK Great One but it will probably end up being something like that.
With Wolverine not being on the new map it definitely decreases their chances of ever being a Great One
Nah Central Asia has more potential then this
Depends on what you like. i wouldn't mind central aisa but the last Asia map was super thick brush. Not my cup of tea. Animals and biomes wise i still would prefer this.
Yeah central Asia is very open. Way more open then most of America, the last map was south Asia btw
Can I get Wolverine, Stone Sheep, Grizzly or an Elk Great One under the snowy northern lights. If so im down if it has more open biomes than Sundarpatan.
You can get wolverine, snow sheep argali sheep, brown bear and elk under the snowy northern lights
Definitely bring on the Wolverine for sure. Maybe we can get both and have two Wolverine maps and they could make them a G1 at some point. I'm so disappointed the new map doesn't have Wolverine.

I think there's still hope that we can get a map like this eventually
My hope is dwindling, but man it would be amazing if it ever happened.
These could be added in updates if we're loud enough
I don't like back fills it reduces animal population. I prefer new maps
Grizzly Bear and Coastal Black Bear Gathering Salmon Zones- with potential G1 Grizzly
After seeing how amazing the new beaver animations are in the new map, i belive a British Columbia map would be perfect to introduce a Grizzly Bear gathering zone where the Grizzlies interact with trying to catch Salmon.
British Columbia does have over half of Canada's Grizzly population in British Columbia alone.
This could be for just a few hours out of the day for the zone. It would be so immersive watching them gathering trying to catch Salmon.
This map would be based in late fall so perfect timing with the Salmon run and perfect for snowy biomes in the north and beautiful fall colors to the south.
Also I want to point out that the waterfalls is not necessary. They will chase Salmon in the flat shallows as well. I would like for the river or creek to be shallow so you could see the occasional salmon

Here's a couple videos of Grizzlies chasing salmon for reference animations. Ones in British Columbia
https://youtu.be/gwxyj9CMTrY?si=VEG9Xuzc-moxlEoz
These zones can be found really far inland as well. Not just the coastal areas.
Of course these zones being added would definitely call for a couple new trophy lodge mounts
EW said, hold up you sure about that 🤣. It might not happen soon but they left the door open for it.
is that image the new reserve selection screen folks were talking about?
It is. They opened up more room for other map locations. I wasn't going to post it but it was already posted multiple times so I figured it was ok to.
I feel vindicated; I suggested a pinboard style layout eons ago; and NEM, Miss, Rancho, and SRP are all in mostly the right place on that lmfao
Well it looks like the 8 year old Roosevelt Elk and Blacktail didn't get a remodel this time around.
Not sure why they choose to remodel the newer Mule Deer first. It is what it is though.
If your like me and want Elk, Blacktail Deer, Grizzlies, Coyotes , and Mountain lions all remodeled while adding new species like Stone sheep, Dall Sheep, Wolverine, Badger, Fisher, Coastal Black Bear,, Sandhill Crane, Greater White Fronted Goose and more , then let's upvote this and hope EW will listen to us. It's been 8 years, the Elk need it🙏
COLUMBIA WILDERNESS- Beautiful Fall Color Meets The Snowy Abyss! Elk, Blacktail Rework & New Species
Ok question for you all. After seeing the the mule deer furs, I want to show EW what im looking for on an Elk Great One. Honestly this fur type in the above picture with the antlers in the below pictures I believe would be a good option. What's is your guys thoughts on this? Yes it's a little out there but the colors are colors they can have in real life. It's better than Cinnamon Stripes lol.
as long as the colors are possible to see in reality like the horns I'm in
Canadian Lynx and Snowshoe Hare are also great additions! On my board for a great one Elk also gonna be if they do finally fix them, remodel them and rework them. I’d also be on board for a great one cougar=Puma/Mountain Lion if it’s a predator great one considering we have a bear Black Bear and a canine Red Fox I think it’s time the next predator GREAT ONE is a Feline and with a map like this, it could be either a G1 Cougar or a G1 Canadian Lynx
Ik you want that mountain lion rework, this isn’t related to the thread but consider Chile as a map, it would most likely have mountain lions and they would rework it for that
I have the Mt lion and Canada Lynx on the list already. Im not much for rabbit hunting in the game. I would hate to lose other species for a rabbit.
Ok I thought I would post some antlers and fur types that I would like to see on a Great One Elk if we get one in the future. I personally think these would be realistic enough while still a little small fantasy as well.
They strike a good balance and it will show EW the colors and look im going for. I hope some of you agree. I will post some anter options first. EW if we get this Elk Great One please add some mass to the antlers like shown in the photos 🙏
Now for a few Fur types that use actual colors an Elk could have. Now sure some are a little fantasy but like a Great One is supposed to be but realistic enough it's not crazy in my opinion.
Disregard the antlers on these below. I would prefer antlers like above. Just want to post these so EW sees what look i prefer in game for the fur types on the Elk. I hope you all approve.
I'm not usually a fan of AI-generated images, but these are pretty cool.
What do you use to get images like this?
Thanks! I used the one on Facebook. I felt it's the only way to truly represent what I wanted the fur types to look like. Elk G1 is very special to me and I wanted them to see what my dream for them was.
The Antler pics are real life photos of actual elk.
Okay, I totally agree about a large elk. I think it's one of the most magnificent deer, and in my opinion, they have the most beautiful antlers of all deer.
I wanted to know because I'm looking for something to be able to add a "greet one" to my maps, but I can't find anything, so we'll stick to the description.
EW, if you decide to give us an Elk Great One please add some mass to their antlers like these pics above. I've been seeing some photos of the new Mule deer G1, and I think it could have benefited with some of the anters being thicker since it's a great one. 🙏
If EW decides to use this map for a Grizzly Remodel i hope they make the the sound of the Grizzly loud and scary like they did the Black Bear. Hopefully the Grizzly will have a good chance to go aggressive to the player as well.
I think the Grizzly Salmon gathering zone suggested in this map would be fun as well. Just keep them limited 🙏

New Subspecies British Columbia Wolf Gathering Salmon Zones -
After some research it looks like the British Columbia Wolf also may benefit from a Salmon gathering zone like the Grizzly Bear.
In the season this map is set in , the British Columbia Wolf hunts Salmon more than anything during the Salmon runs. If Avalanche decides to add the Grizzly Bear Salmon Gathering Zones the Wolves could use it at a different feeding time. They could add some animations of the Wolves chasing and catching Salmon just like the Grizzly. Here is some photos of some of the Wolves and some of them catching Salmon in British Columbia.
Here's the link to the Grizzy Bear Gathering Salmon Zones info.

That's a nice Chum 😯
So after playing this new map for a little bit I see it lacks color. The color in the northern lights are beautiful. Great Job on those Devs. The map itself is beautiful and well done, but it lacks color change. After a while I can see this map getting boring. It's the same white and green views everywhere. We need some reds and yellows added in.
I really hope if they add this map the mid to southern area of the map has some popping colors added in to change up the scenery. Please give us snow in the North and beautiful fall colors on the lower half of the map 🙏
This is a photo from British Columbia. I belive this was from Caribou region area.
Here's some more examples of the beautiful fall colors in British Columbia. Im not sure if it's possible to have both on one map, but I would love to see the leaves falling animations in the lower half of the map with the dynamic snow to the north. I can't remember if we have that on any existing map. It would be sweet.
Maybe Yukon Valley have this features
You are correct. Yukon does have both. I would love to see it on more maps. It's so immersive.
Let's get the North America sheep in this game. They are so amazing. 😍
I would love to see a Stone Sheep with this for a rare fur type in the future down the road after an Africa map that people want.
that looks like me when im screaming at everything
Here's another example of the beautiful fall colors in southern British Columbia. This is near MT Cheam by the Frasier valley. I really think the Alberta map could have used some colors like this. I hope if they decide to add this map in the future we have some colors popping like this on the map with snow to the north.
Reminds me of Yukon somewhat
Red Rock Canyon and Red Rock Coulee are the only places I see in Alberta that have a red color.
Color wise yes, but less underbrush and better animals species
I would have loved to see this on the Alberta map. There is some areas of Alberta that has trees and bushes with red and yellow colors but I think the map is based later in the winter when all the leaves are gone unfortunately. Here's a couple of photos of what could have been
I know we won't likely see this suggestion soon but im going to be searching through British Columbia landscape photos and posting them in hopes we get some more changing biomes with some colors and not just green and snow with this map down the road. Here's a few more options
In The Hunter the Classic there is a map based in Washington and another one next to it in British Columbia so if it can be possible, not all of them then but one day.
Yea we need another Africa, Asia or Europe map first since we just got Canada. I can't wait till that day hopefully comes. I want an Elk rework with a Great One and Wolverine and Stone Sheep.
I wouldn't mind a Roe Deer G1, Marco Polo Sheep G1 or Lion G1 next map.
True, but I don’t know I might be wrong here, but, something deep down is telling me the next reserve “Might” be… keyword just might hear….South America 2.0 Reserve specifically an Amazon Themed map soo……Jaguars Anyone?!
It very well could be. After this last map it's obvious they could go anywhere. Nothing would shock me at this point. Im just hoping and waiting for this suggestion too come to the game at some point.
Hopefully it is Amazon next. I want everyone to get the locations they want in game.
Imo Africa first then Amazon, mainly because Africa is the continent with lowest amount of maps (i mean also south america, but south american animals can be found in the us too), Vurhonga is very old and isn’t even fun to play anymore because it’s so outdated and it’s the most requested map by the whole community
Yea Africa does deserve it more. I would play an African map more than an Amazon map. I dont really enjoy the biomes or animals of a jungle map.
The only reason I upvoted the Amazon map is because i see how bad people want it, so I put some support behind it because like I said before I want everyone to get their dream map. Unfortunately I will have to wait on my dream map.
I feel like if they were to add a rainforest map it would be way better if it was like a central Asia china rainforest rather than the Amazon I feel like it would just be so so thick and China would be too, but it would have a little bit more realistic, hunted animals, and more deer
I could be wrong, but but that’s what makes sense to me
It is strictly impossible to hunt in China, so it would be more logical to hunt in the Amazon than in China, I don't know which other Asian country with a tropical forest you could hunt in. But China is just a huge red frag.
Like it’s illegal?
China is the country par excellence in terms of illegal hunting, it's dead to hunt any animals there. But some animals found in China can be hunted in other countries.
Oh wow so it’s really illegal than
To get this suggestion back on track about this suggestion, here's some more British Columbia pictures of biomes
Bump
If you are down on the coast or up in the mountains looking for Stone Sheep, the views can be amazing in British Columbia 😍
Starting to like this place, the colors do look incredible together and the views would be fun to see too
The beautiful British Columbia Coast.
This looks great!!! 😮😮😮 I need this in my life
It would be beautiful with a great species list
This should be a fall map, not like Yukon with occasional snow just only the pics you’re showing @wind olive
No moose
No pheasants
No mallards, it’s enough now.
Even if the animal is uniqe to the place
I wouldn’t want moose if a Sweden map came out, because they’re already everywhere it just seems lazy idk.
If we’re gonna keep getting american maps they gotta be uniqe, Alberta is even with many repeat animals it has good distribution. That’s an important thing to me when it comes to hunting in this game, that the animals are distributed over a good area over the map, i wouldn’t want it to be like Nepal where there is an entire region looking the same and the animals only stick to the corners and they aren’t running around the whole area
I don't see the next map being in North America personally. After playing the Alberta map for a while now I mostly agree. The fall colors would be pretty amazing if the Devs made them pop like they could. The Alberta full-time white out colors is going to be boring at some point because the whole map is that way. It needed something to break it up a little.
I will say to keep it realistic, the northern part of this map should have at least a small chance to get some snow in the fall. They could make it where the colors are popping most of the time while hunting but have a 10 percent chance to get snow.
Also, i will say that's the reason I left Moose off the species list. If we get Moose on another map i want it to be because it got an antler update and new furs for the Great One. I have all the furs and antlers you can get for the Moose in the game. I would want something new to go after.
I could totally hunt some Stone Sheep and Wolverine in some Colorful fall mountains like this below after a Africa map.
I was already opposed to moose being in Askiy ridge, because like i said, just because they exist there and/or are the main species there doesn’t mean we need to add them because we as a community need variety, and when you always seem to have mallards in the air, moose as some of the only big game and pheasants as the most abundant upland species it doesn’t change much from what we usually see. That’s what i hope for a new north american map, but according to what you’ve been suggesting (except for new moose) i hope for this reserve
And yes hunting on this type of map totally fits the criteria of which i have been suggesting
.
Imagine 🔥
This would be a great map at some point to introduce Wolverine. It could give the Devs more time to figure out how to implement the Artic animals and take some pressure off by making it one less new species they would to implement at that time. I could hunt Wolverine in some biomes like this.
True but snowy forests would be my go to, those sneaky weasels jump you from the trees yk
Your reasoning in your last response is why I think this map would need some snow in the northern biomes with the mid to lower areas having the fall colors. It just makes more sense and gives the map more variety. I dont want the maps to look the same all over personally
No true same here it wouldn’t really be worth buying it
Here's a little British Columbia coastal cave view.
personaly i relly like this idea
Thank you! I think it would be amazing. i don't see this map next, but it would be great for a later future map. You should give us an upvote if you haven't. We could use the support. I really would like to see this in a future map.
i would relly like to hunt wolvens
Here are a bunch of fur types i found for the new subspecies Coastal Black Bear on this map. It's a bunch of Kermode and Glacier Bear furs. If anyone has any i haven't posted please feel free to share them.
wish there were some more furs for the G1 like these
Yea it could use some more fur types but it just makes more reasons to add a British Columbia map with Coastal Black Bear Subspecies in the future. Here's a couple more i found

I was looking for strange geological formations in British Columbia because that's stuff I like. But I discovered the Alberta Dinosaur Provincial Park, Wow, I wasn't even aware that areas as dry and desert-like as that could exist, I thought it was only British Columbia. If it was on the new map, it would have added a little color no doubt.
Otherwise, waters with enigmatic colors can also work, to quickly return to the subject. Here is Kooteney National Park in British Columbia.
Don't forget about Spotted lake also. It's pretty unique!
Yes, at first I wanted to put that in but I didn't know if it was in British Columbia or not, but yes, I definitely want a small area like that.
The more I research the better it gets. Here is some biomes i found in Northern B.C. that has Stone Sheep. Could you imagine a beautiful mountain like this in the game with some massive Stone Sheep 👀
And giant Grizzlies and Black Bears feeding on blueberry patches on the lower slopes.
I can already imagine this being a region on the map, along with the partially snowy forests to the north and the colorful plains
There is everywhere in fact where it is colored, look at Rock Garden in Alsek River, also in this region, the color of the stones different from each other with these small flowers.
Very beautiful
800.💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🎊🎉🎊🎉🥳🎉
Nah bears have officially cheated on the public image scene like look at this MF standing up looking like "huh"
Meanwhile he'd close in on the cameraman and tear him up in 10 seconds top if he was in the mood
A real dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde
EW picture this. You just tracked through the forest looking for the majestic Wolverine while making sure you don't run into the aggressive Grizzly Bear and as you approach the tree line, the mountain opens up into the beautiful British Columbia mountains with its beautiful fall colors.
Then you see in the horizon this majestic stone sheep with this amazing backdrop
EW, this suggestion has the potential to be a masterpiece down the road. Changing biomes and amazing species. Work your magic EW!
Just as long as it's the next map after the one they'd release next
I'm all for another Canadian map whether it be this or the arctic but I do be thirsting for some more Africa plains game and Asian mountain biomes like Kazakhstan or Mongolia
Yea, hopefully next summer they give everyone the Africa map they want. Then hopefully we can get a map like this.
Layton Lakes vibes
The nostalgia of playing Layton Lakes when I first started is amazing, it's a truly great map
Yeah it really brings you back
If EW was able to bring my dream to life the way I want, there would be Rocky Mountain Elk in the east larch tree biomes to the east , Roosevelt Elk in the coastal area with an ancient forest to the west and the colorful mountain areas to the north and south. I wouldn't mind the small desert area to south center of the map implemented as well. Have Grizzly and Wolverine all over and Stone Sheep to the north.
EW kind of got away from what made Emerald Coast so special with the multiple biome layout.. I hope they make a return to that concept
How do these ancient forests look like?
It would basically be some old growth tree area.
Those would be sick to hunt in
I get why you want the multiple biomes because now i do too hahahah
Multiple biomes make maps great adds variety instead of seeing the same area over and over
Which map has the same area over and over?
I'm not saying any do I'm saying multiple biomes are nice for variety than something that'll feel/look copy and pasted
Medved and Alberta feel that way because its white everywhere. Its makes them boring after a while. Alberta had potential for multiple varying biomes but they went a different direction. I want some colors mixed in on the snow maps personally
I love the way they did those maps but that is of course my opinion and it’s great that ours differ, where i agree with you is that they should do this on future maps, because now we have one fully snow covered in the eastern hemisphere and in the eastern hemisphere, so now even if we get Arctic, i wish there to be some green open plains like in the picture under: https://travel.destinationcanada.com/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fadmin.destinationcanada.com%2Fsites%2Fdefault%2Ffiles%2Fimages%2Farticle%2F0808-poliza-bbb-3487_5.jpg&w=1920&q=75
Askiy Ridge is anything but boring.
Currently that is the case for me as well, but Medved was the same way in the beginning for me. Over time for me just seeing white all over the map has burnt me out on that map. I can occasionally go back and play for a little while but then I get bored of the white all over and need a change.
I think the thing Medved needs is more species, that's part of the reason why Askiy Ridge is so great. A very small population (even Snow Leopard small) of Tigers would go hard on Medved, among other species.
It needs Wolverine added. That would be cool.
Snowmobiles, a rabbit/hare species, and a few more bird species would also be fantastic.
Personally i disagree with you, i think some maps are better and more immersive with less species, Medved is one of them. Siberia is super cold and rugged so i don’t imagine it as an animal paradise as some other places may be. Of course there could be more animals on that map but i don’t think it’s needed. Hirschfelden could use some more smaller game though like badgers and grouse
We need more north american grouse
For sure, dusky and ruffed grouse should be on NEM i think but idk if the dusky actually lives there
Nevermind, it’ll get to be some other bird
Ruffed can be on any NA map besides rancho for sure and Mississippi I think
Spruce can be in Layton or Yukon
SRP for variety they could do prairie or sage grouse and keep the dusky on Aisky
Boom
Sounds great, Rancho should get some waterfowl like blue winged teal and Bison imo, possibly cougars too.
Cougars for sure I think the SW desert is some of the most dense cougar population so Mexico shouldn't be any different
And more new ducks I can't really complain
Sage grouse are only endemic to the Great Plains and Mountain West and Prairie Chickens have not been found in the New England area since the late 1930s (extirpated from overhunting), so we'd need a different ground bird for NEM.
I got mixed up I meant SRP not NEM
Sage grouse are in the lowlands and foothills east of the Rockies in places like Yellowstone so could they be found wherever SRP is
Just a question not a counter
yeah they're found throughout Colorado and prairie chicken are in the northeast of the state, both could work for SRP
Oh as for ruffed grouse NEM could be mint as it's like Ontario sorta and we have plenty of ruffed grouse and the occasional spruce but Idk if spruce are found in new England
they definitely have the range, could be on Yukon too
Skinny part of Ontario then follow the Ontario and Quebec border eastward is where we get all of our grouse so that checks out
ATV, ski doo and logging trails ftw
That's MASSIVE
Yes sir! They can get big.
stud rams
I'm in British Columbia right now XD
Beautiful
Stunning
Yes but full of Mosquitos
Frankly I would love another Canadian Reserve Askiy Ridge is my Favorite Reserve in the Game as of Now a British Columbia reserve would be Great for stone Sheep they are incredibly often Hunted in BC and Most people Use .270 and .308 On them So Perhaps this Reserves Weapon could be a New .270
I would love to see more Canadian maps as well. Hopefully in the future down the road we could see a map like this. It would be amazing.
Frankly I'd prefer a BC reserve based off the High Desert
Interesting. What species would we see here? I'm assuming a lot of Mule/Blacktail Deer and maybe Pronghorn?
Yes as well as Sage grouse, Coyote, Ground Squirrels, And Bighorn
I've personally only Hunted In Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan IRL but I have friends who hunt in BC Often
This suggestion does have an area based on the desert area. I want a B.C. map that has multiple biomes not just the desert area.
If they only based it on the desert area we couldn't have Stone Sheep and Caribou on the map because they dont live in that area to my knowledge.
Also no Roosevelt Elk if they only based it on the desert area.
Ground squirrels and sage grouse would be cool
I want biomes like this along with a desert area.
I agree, would be absolutely stunning to play on a map like this 🔥
You mean New China
Also I hope you have a solid salary because everything is pricey on BC
Same but add on Newfoundland I'm not counting my dad's trip to Manitoba as I just sat there essentially
(I had just gotten surgery on my knees)
Here is some of my favorite British Columbia biomes in a video so they are all together. I couldn't fit all my favorites, but here is what i could fit.

Cariboo, British Columbia
That name can only mean one thing
Boo 👻
Yea! It says this area has around 12 percent of the Mountain Caribou in British Columbia. Heres another beautiful picture from the region.
Beautiful British Columbia biomes.
Will be a great sheep map
Yes sir! Hopefully down the road this map ends up with at least multiple sheep, Wolverine, Grizzly, Elk and Blacktail Deer. The biomes would be great for sheep.
Here is some drone footage from British Columbia i screen shot so it's a little blurry get you can imagine the beauty.
I’m starting to want this map more than the Arctic
I prefer British Columbia over the Artic map because I prefer this species list, However the Artic map will be amazing as well. I personally hope we get both at some point. The masses need their African map then hopefully we can see this happen.
I seriously think that if we got both a BC and Arctic map they would very easily be the best two maps of North America in the entire game no doubt about it.
I agree they would be. Hopefully it happens eventually. We need more people to realize the potential of this map. Hopefully after an Africa map they will.
I'm rather suprised neither this or the Arctic map have reached 1000
but Arctic is starting to get much closer I reckon a few months and it'll have reached it
Its because a lot of people want Africa next and in defense of British Columbia it hasn't been pushed as much as Africa and the Artic. Look at the number of comments between them compared to British Columbia. A lot of them was useless commets to keep it at the top. There for a while Africa was just DMing people for upvotes and I've seen both posted in general chat trying to get upvotes which i dont do. I think i might have mentioned it twice in general the entire time i had the suggestion.
Regardless of all that they all three would be great maps and hopefully all come to the game
True if I remember correctly it was even on reddit they were asking for upvotes which is a very large platform
Grizzly Bear County 👀
If I was a grizzly bear I would want to live there
….actually, I would want to live there regardless
For real
If I were to move to any of the provinces or territories of Canada it'd be British Columbia no second thought. Seeing as BC has some of the best hunting and outdoor opportunities in the country and also bordered by Alberta, Northwest Territories and the Yukon Territory I don't see why anyone would live anywhere else for outdoor opportunities than BC and its close proximity to other top notch and abundant administrative divisions.
If EW makes this map down the road I hope the rivers or creeks are shallow like this picture so you can see the occasional salmon with the Grizzly Bear and the new subspecies Coastal Black Bear having an animation of chasing and catching the salmon.
British Columbia is world renowned for this activity
I have to be honest, my ideal gaming scenario is the devs from EW, NRG, and whoever makes Ultimate Hunting and Fishing Planet combine for the ultimate hunting AND fishing game. Being able to pack a little rod and stop and fish for some trout in pristine untouched wilderness would be so immersive and the ideal virtual dream.
Will it happen? Absolutely not. Could one of those companies on their own potential decide to do it? They definitely could.
This has been my dream for a while, but watching MeatEater episodes of Steve Rinella hunting moose deep in Alaska and catching his supper of pike, grayling, etc. has only increased my desire for it. 😂
That show makes me hungry a lot. 🤤
Right? Got to admit though, it has helped me a lot in my own hunting. I always have Steve in my head saying "get off your a** and put boots on the ground!", so I do and am more often successful than not. Lol
No joke, I'm basically legally disabled yet still hobble out a mile and a half or more while so many guys just drive loops on the back roads and take potshots.
Hey if you got legs use them yk
For your viewing. Some beautiful hunting areas in British Columbia
https://youtu.be/NoPIX2p-0q0?si=6HoyGzVzirzGDuKb
Gonna watch it rn
This map shows on paper of exactly what I've been trying to explain about how special and diverse British Columbia is compared to the rest of Canada. It has a little bit of everything. Just look at the different biomes.
This biome map clearly shows that if any map has a lot of multiple biomes it should be British Columbia
I also attached some maps for the fall/Autumn foliage hotspot areas for EWs reference and an Ancient Forest map of big tree locations that i made based on a lot of research and I mean a lot 😂

Here is other maps i have posted so it's all in one spot
I saw this in the museum not far from where I will be living for at least a while. It's from Nunavut, and other tribes of Canada
Very cool. British Columbia has over 200 First Nations communities. They are a huge part of the hunting history for B.C.
Maybe a Cougar/Puma/Mountain Lion Remaster and Overhaul Rework
I could see that as a possibility. British Columbia has the highest density of Cougars in North America. Its amazing to have that many and still be a rare site IRL.
If they do add Cougars I would want to to have a low population so they are a rare site like they are IRL.
Im more stoked for the possible Elk, Grizzly Bear and Blacktail Deer rework that could come with this map, but a cougar rework with a small chance to have the Tiger stalking animation would be pretty cool.
A low cougar densisty for a reserve on Mainland British Columbia makes sense but if it was set on Vancouver Island it would be similar to Parque as the island does have the highest concentration of cougars in all of Canada and it is home to about a quarter of all cougars in BC
This is true but the research I'm doing says that even with the high density that they are still a rare site because they are so stealthy. If they make the cougar population like Parque I would rather just leave them off the list personally. Low population is the only way I want them, plus that mirrors real life from what I see.
Heres an good article i found for them on Vancouver Island. Their nickname is shadow cat. Most people don't see them unless they increase their chances with hunting dogs.
https://www.biospheresustainable.com/en/blog/63/vancouver-island-cougar-island
British Columbia also holds the record for the World Record Cougar.
Another possible Coastal biome area. This is on the Coast area of British Columbia.
Aw man B.C needs to happen
Whoever ghost bumped this suggestion i appreciate the support but let's refrain from ghost bumping. EW said they may remove the post from ghost bumping.
Let's show some cool biomes or add to the suggestion.
I had a post on 416 once I spelled a message wrong so i deleted it then the entire post was token down😑
Had to repost that one
What does ghost bumping actually mean though?
Replying and then deleting to move it up is ghost bumping imo.
yes because otherwise you will be a bit like me, with Vivi who tells you ok we like you but now avoid doing that (and strangely I am the only one to have had this message) but so be careful, she told me that you can take the photos in relation to the subject of the thread with little information, that's fine but just bump or bump is to erase it which I did because I didn't have the time, that can no longer be the case.
The best of vibes, I really wish Layton had more nice things to hunt, it feels so large and extensive
Yeah, it has all the vibes and not much action, it feels like it got hand the backhand compared to Hirschfelden, because Hirschfelden feels less empty
Yeah, both reserves are very different and I love them both
Same, hopefully the backfills to those maps will continue as well
BRITISH COLUMBIA🇨 - Fall Color Meets The Snowy Abyss!New Species, Grizzly, Elk, & Blacktail Rework
Changed the title so new members can find this easier in the search.
BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA Fall Colors Meets Snowy Abyss! New Species, Grizzly, Elk,& Blacktail Rework
Heres some more possible coastal biomes with one having the remnants of an ancient forest. i really hope if EW takes a stab at a map like this it has multiple biomes. i would hate just to see only Coastal or only the interior of B.C. biomes. I really hope to see a mixture of them like Emarald Coast was. I hate that they got away from that design.
They should have eggs like that as a collectible
Pretty sure those are stones. Its supposed to represent the Tree Spirit from the research i did.
Ohh hahaha didn’t look at those other two, the one in the top left looks like a certain bird egg
Another B.C. biome that would add color to the map.
that reminds me of the crimson plain area on Yukon Valley
Beautiful area
Yeah British Columbia biomes are so diverse. I've posted a map on here showing how many different biomes it could have. Its really something special in my opinion that hopefully makes it to the game. I just really hope EW doesn't just pick one or two biomes for the whole map if they add this map.
I hope they go all out with at least 3 or 4 biomes and give it the love it could have.
Nah they usually have at least 3
Then we need 5
It won’t be much area for them fyi, but i guess if they mold them into eachother it could look more realistic
I got faith they can do it. Its just whether they choose to do it.
Let’s hope they still got love for their game
I will say emerald Coast is proof it can be done. They did an amazing job blending those biomes together. I belive its just a lot of work is why they don't do it as much.
I hope they choose to do it again and blend a lot of the B.C. biomes together one day in the future.
I think if the biomes are an important part just like on EC they’ll do it on BC
Here's a guide to a few of British Columbias ancient forest. Would love to see a few of these trees added to the map.
Guide to Vancouver and Lower Mainland BC's Ancient Forests, Giant Trees, and Old Growth https://share.google/fqjsU8znwK9QwEzqE
This one is for Vancouver island
https://www.lucascometto.com/cascadia-vancouver-island
I couldn’t tell if there were some red wood trees, but except for that, those forests look like some mossy European or Swedish conifer forests, really untouched, what here in Sweden we would call an ”urskog”
Some more of that British Columbia Autumn Colors.
I just realized 2 more animal reworks, “Coyotes and WhiteTailed Jackrabbits”!
@wind olive I wanted to ask you a question
Could I possibly start a new day ??? thing like the Africa 2.0 thread? I just wanted to ask so in the possibility of you not wanting me to I would know.
Edit: I've got quite abit of art that I found and want to share so I thought it might be a cool idea to do this as well
I have Coyotes on the list already. Personally I hope they dont waste a spot on the species list for Rabbits if they make this map. With so many grouse and birds still not in the game in would rather see them on the map instead of a rabbit. I don't get excited at all for those.
I would rather you just post pictures of the biomes you would like to see. I feel like posting that we are waiting everyday trying to pressure them might not be a good thing. I don't want to make the Devs mad.
This map is my dream location and I dont want to jeopardize any chance we have. I can't tell you what to do but that is my suggestion my friend.
I understand every word of it, I appreciate the honesty and answer 👍
Here is some art of Grizzly Bears
My god do they need a rework. Imagine the models they could have but don't
Ok! Hmmm ya know I have an idea what if this is a reserve that we end up getting more than one G1?! For Example we get 2 or 3 new Herbivore G1s “G1 Elk, G1 Blacktailed Deer, and G1 Bighorn Sheep or Dall Sheep” and 2- 3 new Predator G1s “G1 Gray Wolf, G1 Cougar/Puma/Mountain Lion and G1 Grizzly Bear”?! These are just some interesting ideas.
That would be amazing. They have done 2 at once before. Let's make it three 😂
We really need this map 🔥 🇨🇦 🔥
Awesome, I definitely think in terms of a predator great one we could use a feline, So also one of the three is the Great One Cougar/Puma/Mountain Lion, so now it’s time to Name the other 2 Great Ones!
We also need velveted antler types in-game, i think that would be cool
I'm painting a Mt goat for my art project! Will definitely show it here when I'm done!
Would love to see it
Oh that would be cool and it's not like EW can't do it since they did the GO Mule Deer and there's one antlered variation with velvet
I look forward to seeing it
A large bull
Oh how cool, i haven’t seen the great ones at all so looking forward to seeing that in-game
Yeah here's a picture of what I was talking about. My friend got this maybe two or three days ago.
Personally I don't like it but this is proof they can indeed do velvet
Thanks but i’d rather just discover it ingame. I believe you tho
Good Luck then I quite frankly can't be bothered grinding
Yeah me neither, just hope to stumble upon them someday, happened before so i think that experience is much cooler
Wow what was it?
I was hunting tahr a lot and a Fabled Latte just ran in front of me, i have a video of it, i cab send it to your dms if you’d like to keep this chat on topic
No I'm ok but thank you for the offer. Btw have you ever made a map idea? I don't think I've seen one with you as OP before
What do you mean by OP? And no i haven’t, but i’ve made suggestion posts, they aren’t that popular though
Um I don't actually know what OP stands for lol but someone who "owns" or made the post
Ah it means Original Poster
Ooh alr no but i mostly make suggestions to other peoples posts
Ah ok. What's your most wanted map?
Hard to say, i’d like a really good desert map like barren desert so Mongolia would be cool, but also Hawaii and British Columbia or the Arctic. Hbu?
Gee I don't really know myself but I'd say Africa 2.0 or British Columbia and the Arctic would be my top contenders. North America and Europe were my two favourite continents and I used to make alot of map ideas from those two but now looking back on it it was quite obvious they were never going to be big since they we had/have too many of those maps right now. But I stopped making map ideas a long time ago and I've never gotten back into it so 🤷♂️
If its unique enough then theres still potential for a map for it such as this map ew can really do alot with some maps and species just need to pick and choose the correct ones and not repeat past mistakes mainly mallards
I'm not sure I've ever added Mallards wherever they could have been on my map ideas for obvious reasons yk.
Yeah thats what im hoping ew dosent do and waste slots on more locations happen to also have mallards. Would be a waste for a better species on certain maps
Elk is definitely my go to for a G1 for this map. Grizzly Bear, Blacktail, Wolverine , Coyote, and Wolf would all be excellent options as well.
Stone Sheep with all the different fur types they could have would be very interesting as well. Apparently all Stone Sheep have different fur patterns and not one is the same. There's always something just a little different to make them have there own unique fur pattern.
I wouldn't mind a Cougar G1 , but im not sure about how they would go about it. Maybe just add scar variations? Most Mountain lions have kinda the same look so it may be hard for them to make a G1. I could be wrong though.
Probably more spotted patterns, Bigger more Muscular builds, Scars, Long Sharp Teeth Sabertooth like…. Not too long, but just slightly longer than normal cougars there’s a few ideas that come to mind
Bigger and more muscular builds with some scars could definitely work
We need Stone sheep added. i hope it happens eventually.
I love Stone Sheep so badly
Did I talk about fur types for Stones on here? I can't remember 😂
I don't think you have but here was some I posted before. There are definitely more than these.
#1123832368118120458 message
Feel free to post any you want. I would love to see them make it to the game at some point.
Thanks! I remember talking about them somewhere else though, but I will defo talk about the here
Stone Sheep - Kings of the Cliffs
Max weight 95 - 110kg
With furs that vary from almost pure white, to a deep and beautiful gray color, with white highlights. Horns that are thin and do not commonly broom as extreme as Rocky Mt, or Desert Bighorn Sheep. But can curl almost double the size for large ones, and are one of the most sought after game in North America.
Horn and fur types will follow, with some being in the same message.
HORNS - Tight Curls - Lower scoring
FUR - Gray-White Mix - Common
HORNS - Medium Curls - Average scoring
FUR - Dark Speckled Gray - Uncommon
HORNS - Wide - Higher scoring
FUR - Granite - Uncommon
FUR - Light Granite / Fannin - Rare
FUR - Mixed Gray Brown - Common
FUR - Dark Mixed Gray (Probably my fav fur type!) Uncommon
HORNS - Small Diamond - Lower scoring
FUR - White- Dark Gray Mix - Common
HORNS - Thin - Score - Medium
FURs - Fannin - 4 Variations, Dark Fannin, Light Fannin, and Fannin - RARE.
If we got Dall Sheep as well they would have these are rares as well.
FUR - Faded Fannin - RARE
FUR - Light Gray Mixed - Uncommon
-# I think that's all, if there are any others let me know!
Even female dall sheep would look amazing
Thanks for the effort
We got regular brown as well. Really we could post for days of different fur types. Stone sheep are unique in that not one Stone Sheep has the same exact fur design. Just imagine how cool it would be if EW could implement that in the game.
I'm going to be honest right here, I think even though they can be brown (and probably will be if added) the gray ones are way prettier in my opinion. So I would really like more gray-brown than just plain brown ones.
But that is just me, I would bet that brown would be added as a fur type
However, they have so many fur types, I think they could be viable as a Great One. But the problem with that is then people would probably want all of the Sheep to be a Great One.
I agree the gray does look better. With Stone Sheep being so unique i believe they could definitely fall in the category of a great one.
And with some being literal giants like you've showed they could definitely pull it off since they remodeled the Bighorns, and they gray and white and brown has so many variations that most could be believable.
There are some giants that have been shot, but I also think that they could get bigger in better conditions. Or were at one time double curled a lot in the 1800s or early 1900s before a lot of things were documented. Same with Deer and stuff
Please tell me there are praire chickens in BC
No prairie chicken but the similar looking Sharp-tailed grouse is.
It also has the Ruffed Grouse, Sooty Grouse, Greater Sage Grouse and Spruce Grouse from my research. The Greater Sage Grouse is extremely limited though.
That’s great, British columbia could be the map bringing in some upland birds from America, since we only have 1 right?
There are Plenty of North American Upland Birds in the Game (Turkeys, Dusky Grouse, Pheasant) But More would be Nice
Yeah i meant just north american, and true there are a lot of turkeys missed out on that, pheasants i wouldn’t count though since they aren’t native
HORNS - Medium scoring Diamond
FUR - Off-White Black Mix
HORNS - Medium Large scoring Diamond
FUR - Dark Gray Brown
Could white-tailed jackrabbits be on this map just for the rework?
Not really. They would have made more sense on Askiy Ridge. I hope this map doesn't have any rabbits if it comes. So many better options. Rabbit hunting is boring to me personally. IRL I could totally do it but in the game not really.
So mostly grouse and waterfowl for small game hunting then?
For me rabbits aren't really worth to be made in the game, they aren't a giant elk or a tiger or a giant buffalo. They are small and take up time when the devs are making a map, when that time could be used for something else. And rabbits aren't the coolest animal to me, or a lot of people, imo
I don't mind small game i just don't prefer rabbits
Some small game options could be
Badger
Pine Marten
Fisher
Porcupine
Skunk
Sandhill Crane
Wolverine, if you count it as small game.
Lots of Grouse and ducks
Now that’s some variety there, idk if i would count wolverine though
I think about it they should really only be one rabbit species on this reserve, and that is The “Snowshoe Hare”! And that being if there’s a possibility that Canadian Lynx are also on this reserve, as Snowshoe Hares are the Lynx’s main food Source if I’m not mistaken
I would much rather have these Pine Martens than rabbits any day
Are these also somewhat water dwelling like minks?
No they are woodland dwelling
Ok
Would love to see the Fisher as well.
It looks large for a weasel, does it act like the name suggests?
Yea they can get up to 4ft long. Here's some info for them.
They look very cool, i would really like them added, would be cool to hunt. I do wonder why the name if it doesn’t even live much in water, according to your search
Well, good news on the Desert Bighorn Sheep being added to Rancho. That gives me hope there's a future for Stone Sheep in the game.
Hopefully not on some little map either! Let British Columbias Biomes and animals shine on a Big map!
One day Bama trust with enough hope we'll get them 🙏
Definitely feel it's a good sign for Stone and Dall Sheep coming to the game! Hopefully we'll start getting moose subspecies as well!
If each of the 4 Sheep in the Grand Slam of Sheep gets their own maps, that means both this and a map set in the Northwest Territories with Dall's Sheep (And Walrus) are very possible
One day..
A herd of California Bighorn Sheep in the desert area of British Columbia. This is just one of the 4 subspecies of sheep British Columbia has to offer in one of the many biomes it has to offer.
Here's a nice view of one area of the rainbow range i have never seen before. Looks amazing!
I’d love to hunt and just see those mountains
Fall in B.C. 👀
Playing on the Yukon and seeing the beauty of it and knowing it’s no comparison to British Columbia because of improved graphics, makes me want this map more. Not as the upcoming, not even as after that, but next winter i would want B.C
More biome pics
Sooty grouse would be cool and barely a new species as all they gotta do is slightly recolour the dusky grouse
I could be ok with Sooty Grouse but would much prefer the Ruffed Grouse
What about praire chickens? I might’ve mentioned these before but they’re kinda like the american pheasant sort of and would be cool to hunt
The only prairie chicken that would exist on a reserve set in British Columbia is the Sharp-tailed Grouse which ranges from Colorado and Nebraska all the way to Alaska and Northern Canada
Works for me
#1365034520629481553 has 2 of them, 3 if you count sharpies
Checked it out quickly, i like the animals but i would prefer there being one praire and the rest other biomes like forests and such, just because i to play in those biomes yk
When is this being added if you do not mind me asking boss
The desert bighorn that is
Tomorrow in the patch
So if you have one already in lodge does it change over as well or no
Not sure but I would assume it would.
Yes fur types will change, irl desert bighorn have longer legs and are skinnier than rocky mountain ones, hopefully they’ll make that adjustment
Yes that's correct
Yeah got my desert bighorn diamond already unfortunately the bighorn I got on a public rancho server a year ago stayed as a rocky mountain bighorn
Congrats on the diamond. It makes me wonder if this map ever comes how many Subspecies of sheep it will bring with 4 being an option.
If they use Dall Sheep on the Artic ,they could have Stone, Bighorn anf California Bighorn sheep on this map.
If they added the California Bighorn they would have to add a desert area similar to below as one of the biomes.
i really hope if they make this eventually it has 3 to 4 different biomes at least.
with sub-biomes in these biomes
Are the californian the original species, because ik there is sierra nevadans as well
I don't know much about them. Heres what Google says. Not completely sure its all true.
I almost never trust the AI Overview. From a hunting standpoint the California Bighorn Sheep are treated as seperate from the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep but in terms of genetic studies including one from 2016 only confirms 3 subspecies: Rocky Mountain, Desert and Sierra Nevada Bighorns with the Sierra Nevada being restricted to the namesake mountain range in California
Which does mean that if the developers decide to follow the up to date taxonomy on bighorn sheep subspecies they might have themselves a second excuse for a California Map (Alongside Tule Elk, though I could see them doing Desert Sheep for that map seeing as how it can be hunted in California unlike the Sierra Nevada Bighorns) and still do a British Columbian map that focuses more on Stone's Sheep
Ai overview just trends to get things wrong most of the time id just check on actually verified and credible websites and papers
Best way to do your research
It does not, my melanistic bighorn harvested from rancho pre-reset is still considered to be a rocky mtn bighorn and not a desert bighorn
There was another piece that I thought looked really cool but can't seem to find it anymore
That’s what i think too, but it goes for all AI, just because i think finding your own sources and finding stuff on your own instead of letting a robot do it is better
With all the honey dos and working i didn't have time to research the California Bighorn sheep.
Honestly I wouldn't even be mad if they didn't make it on the map. Stone Sheep is my goal. I was just stating that technically they are an option.
I do agree that a British Columbia should focus on Stone's Sheep, the province is home to the vast majority of these sheep plus we could still get animals like Mountain Caribou, Grizzly Bear, Roosevelt's Elk and Sitka Deer
I agree with that yk, would make the map more uniqe, dall and stone sheep, because bighorn are on three maps now, it takes one more map imo for them to become repetitive
Funnily enough, the California Bighorn is mostly found in other states, with only a small population in the northern Sierras. In fact, there’s likely a higher population of Ovis canadensis californiana in Idahos Owyhee Mountains than in California (although formal population studies on Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep in Idaho have not been conducted in many years).
Stone and Dall should both be on a BC map if you ask me. They’re both found in the province, and they’re known to hybridize, so having them on the same map couldn’t hurt.
True, but the Dall's Sheep population in BC is limited to the extreme Northwestern corner around the Tatshenshini River as far as Bennett Lake (this lake is considered the boundry between Dall's and Stone's Sheep in BC) and they are more numerous in Alaska, the Yukon Territory and Northwest Territories
That's a compromise I think most of us are willing to make
Why do both Thinhorn Sheep need to be on the same map though, I personally think it would be more interesting for each of the North American Sheep to have their own maps
For example
- Rocky Mountain Bighorns have Silver Ridge Peaks and Askiy Ridge
- Desert Bighorns have Rancho del Arroyo
- Dall's Sheep could be on a Canadian Arctic Reserve and be backfilled to Yukon Valley
- Stone's Sheep could get a British Columbian Reserve
- Sierra Nevada Bighorns could come with a Californian Reserve
Only problem with Yukon is there's no mountainous area for Dalls to roam about, that's my only quarrel with it. Also there's a decent population of California Bighorns in Utah, way to the west though
I guess I should have clarified that I was following the current taxonomic classification for bighorn sheep subspecies that classifies only Rocky Mountain, Sierra Nevada and Desert Bighorns that itself was based on a 2016 genetics study which does mean a lot of California Bighorns might be Rocky Mountain Bighorns and this wouldn't be the first time the subspecies recognized by hunting organizations differ from science (The Beceite, Ronda and Southeastern Ibex are all classified as Capra pyrenaica hispanica but are treated as seperate by organizations like Safari Club International)
On that note the Sierra Nevada Bighorns (Ovis canadensis sierrae) might have had a once wider range considering historical records include these sheep being sighted in the California Coastal Ranges and Transverse Ranges with one record from 1769 talking about "wild sheep" in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1769 so I suppose this subspecies could be called the California Bighorn on the basis they are only found in that state
Saving the Dall sheep for the Artic map would also allow for other new species on a British Columbia map that wouldn't fit on the Artic map.
Like Roosevelt's Elk and Sitka Deer to name a few
I would rather have another Columbian Blacktail deer map over Sikta deer. Sitka deer doesn't excite me.
Some of the new species im talking about could be Fisher, Badger, Sandhill Crane, Pine Marten, Ruffed Grouse and the Amazing Coastal Black Bear with all their amazing fur types. There's definitely more i could mention but these i really want.
My most wanted animal on this map besides a G1 Roosevelt Elk is definitely the Wolverine, then for sure Stone Sheep after that
I'd rather have sitka deer
I prefer the bigger antler species. if they go Sitka it would be wasted dev time for me personally. i would never hunt them personally in a video game.
The good thing is that British Columbia has both subspecies and they could easily include both with Sitka being in the North and Columbian in the South
Could also add Columbian blacktail to a cali map but both bt on a British Columbia map would be awesome
Adding more variety to the deer
Some can get pretty big! But I get what you mean. But for me they're like the Coues deer of the North.
personally I think Sitka Blacktail Deer would fit better on a coastal Alaska map, such as my Kodiak Island map suggestion
Even my school had them wolverines now
Very cool! I can't wait till hopefully one day they are in the game. They are my most wanted species of all to come to the game. I really hope they get a G1 version someday
Autumn in B.C. is just beautiful
im still so bummed we got Askiy Ridge instead of a British Columbia map. It had so much more potential.
Hopefully it will come one day. Looking at the new map it looks like Red Deer gets more love again with the Roosevelt Elk and Blacktail still needing a remodel and a G1. Remind me how many times have the Red Deer had a remodel?
One day hopefully it will happen. 🙏Come on EW hook us up. This map would be amazing. Please add the Coastal Black Bear as well. It would really top it off with all the new fur types it could have.
Don't mind this Grizzly. Its just looking to see if we will possibly get a Grizzly Remodel with a salmon gathering zone, with Stone Sheep and Wolverine among others added or an Elk Great One maybe next Winter after an African summer map?
If EW still can't make the Artic or Africa map work yet by next summer it definitely wouldn't hurt my feelings to see this map come to the game.
I love the fur colors on the Stone Sheep
They so cute😍
Wild sheep just look way better then any domestics, proof me wrong
I need the wall on my lodge to look like this. Full of Stone Sheep. If you zoom in you can see on their fur that each is a little different.
That's what makes Stone Sheep so special, each one has a unique fur. Supposedly every Stone has a unique different pattern. Not one is the same.
It would be sweet if EW could implement this in game where each time one spawned the fur was different and somewhat unique.
There's also a ton more fur colors that aren't represented in this photo. Antler colors as well not represented.
This new lodge update with the rock mount just makes me want these mounts for the NA Sheep Gland Slam. Hopefully if they release this map we will get this as an optional DLC as well. I really want these in game🙏
This would be a cool map for the atmosphere alone
With the inclusion of Mink and Marten on the Scotland map, it gives me hope that we could get the Fisher, AKA the mega Weasel on a map like this and of course the Wolverine is a must for a map in this area.
I really need to hunt in some autumn colors like British Columbia can provide. This map could be beautiful with some amazing species. EW please don't overlook this area. It would be amazing!
EW please give us a Grizzly rework with a salmon gathering zone where they have animations chasing the fish . 🙏
I really hope the next map is Africa, so we can start getting some maps like this British Columbia map added hopefully.
I really want the new subspecies Coastal Black Bear added with Kermode and Glacier Bear fur variations with a salmon chasing animation.
This map would be incredible with the new and reworked species and multiple biomes it would bring.
See pic of Kermode chasing salmon below.
Well now that we have Cryptids we need to talk about Bigfoot. Someone made a map that has estimated populations for North America. See below.
Based off the massive population British Columbia has, this is the perfect map to introduce a Bigfoot. Come on EW please make it happen. I would spend hours searching a map like this trying to find one.
What do you mean, cryptids? Whoa, I missed something there.
I dont want to spoil it for people, but if you are really interested you can check out some of the content creators videos about it. I seen one Scarecrow posted. Its for the new map.
Ok thanks you
I just watched the video but I still don't understand. Is this an animal that can only be hunted by those who have the map and can therefore complete the mission? Or can everyone have it, even in multiplayer? I've watched several videos and I admit I don't understand, but it's an interesting concept.
I believe it can be found in multiplayer as well but im not a 100 percent on that. There's still a lot of unknowns. I personally haven't found one yet. Im researching some more Cryptids that could be on a British Columbia map. Bigfoot is the main one I want but im curious to see what else they have. I love that EW has went in this direction. It adds fun to the game as well.
imo bigfoot should be added to Askiy, since it plays a big part on the lore
according to this map i think British Columbia would be better fit. A better alternative would be why not both maps if we are lucky enough to get a British Columbia map in the future
Funny how the Frenchie's in QC and Maritimes see none
RIP AND TEAR
Man I wish we could hunt in some British Columbia fall colors. Let's keep pushing EW. Hopefully Africa next , so we can get on to some 🇨🇦 maps.
Cougar Rework and Coyote Rework would be Awesome too….in fact Why can’t all 3 Get Reworked
This map could remodel a bunch of animals. Hopefully it makes it to the game. It could be the best map to come to the game for me personally if done right.
Happy New Year everyone! Another year hoping this is the year we get some Stone Sheep in the game with some awesome mounts like this picture with the Stone Sheep.
This guy looks like he's looking for a British Columbia map as well.
I wonder why he's staring at me like I stole 20 bucks from him.
GAWD DAYUM
BRO HE HAS NO NECK
He's staring at the devs saying , let's make this map already 😂
This map could bring a coyote rework
Jeez looks like he’s playing at being a jackal with how defined that saddle is lol that would be a super cool fur color to see in game
Give 🫳
Man its a bummer this is going away. This is a ton of info to move over to a new hub.
Transferred some of this info. Hopefully it gets green lit🤞
How did you put the pictures in? And how to follow it, kinda sad about this too. I get it will be better in the long run, and people who don't have Discord can put their ideas in, but still a bummer.
To follow a post you just hit the star in the top right corner. To add photos (if you’re on mobile I think you have to hit the little + next to the more paragraph button) and then click the little box with the dot and two mountains in it which opens a box that you can drop a photo into.
This is exactly how to do it on mobile. Hitting the star is the upvote and follow button. Just make sure not to hit the thing to the left of the star. its the downvote button
So far the only thing I don’t enjoy about AvaHub is you can’t un-choose things (or maybe you can and I just haven’t figured it out yet) and with the mobile being so clunky I find it’s best to use on a computer
The upvote and downvote was very confusing
Yeah the G2G PTS is odd if you click the number that’s a downvote, you click the 🛡️ ⬆️ thing and that’s and upvote all rather bizzar
Tho it doesn’t seem to work all the time? Or maybe you just can’t downvote ideas only threads?
I've only just discovered this myself, so I'll prepare my ideas tomorrow because I'll be very late afterwards. I think my idea of France, for example, which is the most precise one, will be the first.
Ok I've been playing around with the new Ava hub and if you highlighted over the the symbol for the G2G points it says upvote but when I click it ,it says you can't downvote your suggestion. Does anyone have any insight on what actually upvotes a suggestion?
I thought the star actually upvoted but I belive that just follows the suggestion. Any feedback would be helpful. Any devs in here that can maybe reply to help with how it works?
Pressing the numbers next to the symbol is how you downvote but at the moment I think it only works on threads and not ideas at least as far as I can tell, upvote will make the numbers go up downvote makes em go down at the very least so you can kinda figure out what’s happening that way
So it sounds like we hit the symbol until the numbers go up? Hopefully a community manager sees this and clears it up also.
Anyone that wants to see a map like this please come upvote on AVA Hub in the link below.
Originally I told people not to click the points and to click the star. I was wrong apparently. Please click the symbol with the G2G points. We need your support over there.
We are losing to the California map currently. California would be a decent map but British Columbia has so much more to offer in my opinion. Let's try to get some support over there like we have here on the discord. Much appreciated and fingers crossed for this map after an Africa map.

If you have a map idea, should I put it in the "Idea" or "Thread" section?
Sweet thanks
This Wolverine is licking it's lips of the possibilities of getting some British Columbia Wolverines in the game hopefully soon.
