Erythrism or erythrochroism refers to an unusual reddish pigmentation in an animal's fur, skin, feathers, or even eggs! Individuals with the condition are known as "erythristic", "golden" or "strawberry" animals.
Erythrism, as seen in a leopard, a tiger, a European badger, and a black-backed jackal!
Lions are one of the few animals in the game currently that could recieve this new color variation. Erythristic lions have existed, being more orange with a pink nose and skin.
Few animals have been seen with this strange phenomenon... but it could give something new for us to hunt. It could give the COTW developers something fun to create and possibly speculate about. (For example, "What would an erythrystic elk or bobcat look like?")
This red color turkey could be erythristic though I don't know for certain.
A red raccoon, though resembling the Blonde variation, could be a Erythristic variant to be added.
The game's golden wildebeest could be an already existing form of erythrism but I cannot confirm for certain.
I am admittedly not an expert so I may post some animals that may not even be erythristic after all!
Such as these. There is a coyote, a wolf and a fox in these photos... possibly erythrism but I am not confident... however I have censored the fox and coyote... there is no blood but they are trapped.

i will also say, considering the absolute rainbow of colorations grey wolves come in, its unlikely that red-brown is erythristic but rather just a blonde wolf. it does look pretty erythristic tho dosent it? hahahaha
