With the constant hybridization between bison and domestic cattle, many bison now have a piebald-like look.

#

Hybridization between bison and cattle is a big issue in Plains Bison. There are now only very few purebreed bison herds, one of which is in Yellowstone. Perhaps the new color morph could come in many different variation, and be called Piebald or Hybrid.

#

I am aware that there already are albino, melanistic and leucistic Plains bison in the game and a new rare variant isn't exactly necessary. So I propose that this could be a neat uncommon variant instead.

#

I am also aware of melanistic, albino and piebald (which really should be leucistic) European bison but the topic at hand is Plains bison.

This would be cool

If not uncommon with many variations it could instead be a mission exclusive animal... as a way to educate.

Bumping this again but please note that these colorations only exist as a result of hybridization with cattle

Correcting myself on this, this is just another variation of leucism, not necessarily a result of hybridization. Leucism is incredibly variable and you sometimes get some low content leucistics that are pretty blonde or cinnamon looking

#

The piebalds tho? Yea those are cattle hybrids
