This happens with packs of animals at “random” times I have had this happen 3 times, a pack of fallow deer, wild boar, and Iberian wolfs. They will bug and run in a ~30 yd circle randomly, not a circular pattern but in random lines. This is the most recent time it has happened there were about 7 wolfs they ran endlessly in random lines that could fit in a ~30 yd circle. A few got stuck and I got close then the ram off this picture is after it happened some others were scattered
