Firstly, I’d like to give a big thank you to Expansive Worlds for this incredible map which they’ve done such a good job on.

Since the release of early access, I’ve been watching plenty of content from several creators with access to the new map. In this time I’ve gathered a couple of things I’d like to see in a potential hotfix. As an Australian myself, I’ve noticed some things that are just not quite accurate to reality, specifically regarding dealt damage to players from aggressive animals.

  1. Kangaroos shouldn’t need more than 3 attacks to kill a player when aggressive. A kick from an adult kangaroo can generate as much as 760 pounds of force which would be enough to completely shatter the rib cage of a grown man. Also, their punches an produce 275 pounds of force (similar to that of a human). The mighty strength of this animal goes unappreciated when their attacks barely chip away at the players health. On top of this, the fear of being pummelled by a roo whilst hunting would really work to capture the dangers of the Australian wildlife and further develop that true Australian hunting experience.

  2. Salt water crocs should be a 2 shot kill minimum to a player when aggressive. Do I even need to explain this one? The animal with the most powerful bite force on Earth that can weigh over a ton should be something to fear and be cautious of. The current damage is simply not enough.

Just look at these images and try to tell me that the current dealt damage seems accurate:

I agree with you 100%, but I can also predict that even with the weak damage they do now, people will still complain that their avatar might have to respawn at the outpost because they were "knocked out". And then EW will nerf it even worse, or remove it even entirely. They did this with the boar, the buffalo, the bison, and the bears. They mostly run away, and if not, there is only minimal damage. Only lions and wolves (in a pack at least) are really dangerous, and even they mostly flee.
