This is happening at almost every single on Parque Fernando. PLEASE fix this. Us players only have 2 choices when this happens.... either spend a bunch of money to sleep for 1 minute to return it to land where you originally shot it at, or wait for however long it takes to float to you, and sometimes the time it takes to float to you takes a long time and takes away time you could be shooting more animals.

Hello @warm nova and thank you for showing the video with the floater issue. Would you kindly submit this video with a support ticket and also add the location, game version, dxdiag and save game files if possible? https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Nothing is broken, so there is nothing to fix. The animals that die in the water float to you, as they should. While you can certainly play the game how you like and in a way that gives you enjoyment, the game and its mechanics were not made with the special needs of speed-running "grinders" in mind, but for players who actually hunt. I guess the solution is that you'll either need to be patient, or take shots that result in the animal dying on land. (Of course then you will have to run over, which will take precious seconds of your time.) I certainly don't want floating animals to speedboat across the lake; it is already unnatural as it is and that would make it far worse.
Well considering this is a game, not real life hunting, and us "grinders" are wanting to be as efficient as possible. And besides, the point you made about taking shots where the animal doesn't die in the water, if it was a once in a while thing that would be fine, but it's happening all the time. Its as if they automatically run in the water instead of away from it. But as for your reply about the concerns about MY gameplay, thanks for trying your best to make it seem invalid or incorrect. I'm pretty sure though, it isn't the intention of EW to have them constantly dieing in the water. Maybe we should leave it up to the creators as to what they say is broken and what they say isn't. Have a great day.
Did you say unnatural? You don't find it "unnatural" that an injured animal would run into the lake, ignoring water resistance and buoyancy?
There is a lot that is unnatural in the game, of course, but it's in the game for a reason. Some of the mechanics (glowing tracks, floating corpses, visible sound waves, etc.) are there because we're playing a game on a computer or console, not out in the woods where reality (and our senses) works, but the mechanics need to fill in somehow to make the game reasonably playable. (Yes, I know you can turn a lot of that off if you want a "hardcore" experience.) On the other hand, the game does not provide mechanics that go being trying to replicate or fill in for reality to facilitate a reasonable game experience. We can't fly, for example, and animal bodies don't levitate over to you overland so you don't have to bother with walking over to collect them. Likewise, animals that speedboat over a lake a high speed is not needed, where as a way to collect the animals that die in water is needed if we cannot reach them to collect. The current system of having them float over to the location from where they were shot works perfectly fine. We don't need any silly, immersion-breaking nonsense added just for the speedrunners to shave a few seconds off their walking or waiting time.
The game wasn't made for, or designed for, grinders. Play the game you want, I don't care, but don't ask to have it ruined for those of us who like to hunt in a hunting game, the way it has been for years. If you need more money to sleep to continue your grind, just shoot some more animals or hunt though the night. (Which is fun, by the way! Lots goes on then that you miss otherwise.)
may be try when they are feeding or resting.
if you are grinding during drinking then this acts as speed breaker.
Well considering that they introduced Great Ones of different species, they kinda DID intend for players to grind.... I really dont know why this is even an argument over mechanics of the game. If they by chance do add some kind of a retrieval system, you dont have to use it and just continue playing the game as is...... why do people feel they have to tell people they are wrong for making suggestions?
