So basically, if you are hunting European rabbits in either Hirchfelden or Te awaroa, you may have notice that they don't have need zones like other animals does. For example, if you find pheasant feeding in the morning, the game will remember that and it will put a zonemarker on the map, that tells the zone, animal and the time. Usually many animals will share this zone until you kill that animal/herd or create too much hunting pressure around that area meaning it will disappear in the map.
But here's the problem I have with European rabbits specifically: since they don't officially have zones, even if you spot them during their "zone time" aka them moving around their burrows, the game doesn't remember you finding their burrows or what time you found them meaning every time you find burrow, you need to actually remember its location and time by yourself or write it down. I think it's kind of unfair compering to the other animals, that has their zones marked in your map. And before someone says, I know that if you check the burrow, it shows in your map but only like a track marking meaning that if you leave your game, it will be gone and you have to find it all again unlike the zonemarkers.
So how could this be fixed? I can see at least two ways:
- Burrows will be moved in the same locations as either feed- or rest zones of other animals are at and their zones and times will share the same marker than the other animals in that specific zone or:
- Give rabbit burrows its own needzone kind of marker, that looks different and can be seen on the map easily and it will tell you, what time you saw rabbits active or if it's empty then it says unknown until rabbits spawns there at some point.
I know this is not something many people care much since we have more impressive animals and all that but for me, who tries to get every single diamond for every different animal, this change can help a lot and I would imagine that people would hunt/grind them more too.
