#Retrievable Floating Animal

I am sure I speak for numerous other people on this topic....

Can there be a retrievable aspect for animals that die in the water and take FOREVER to float to where you shot it? Maybe a treble hook on a rope, or maybe your dog can have a skill to swim out and get it for you? Or maybe have a small rc boat with a claw that you can control to go get it from the water?

Or maybe make it where they cant die in the water and if they do then they stay at the nearest bank where they died?

It just really doesn't make any sense that they have to float all the way across a lake since there is no current to carry them anywhere, especially for those 300+ meter shots. It takes away valuable time waiting for them to reach you, and it gets expensive having to sleep for 1 minute to put them back on the original bank where you shot them.

I read that post but I was not trying to refer to the retrieval as a hunting structure, it was strictly as a way to get our animals from floating. We might not even be able to physically control the retrieval process, just simply select the boat or rope from our gear slot and click a button to activate and the screen just fades out for a couple seconds with maybe some water sounds and then poof your animal is back on land.

i think it would be better to increase the speed of the floaters and also have them follow you around, for example when you kill a animal and it floats, it goes towards the place where you shot it so instead it would track you wherever your going until it reaches shore.

Yeah the floating mechanic really needs a rework or adjustment.

Easiest solution would probably be to just increase the floating speed.
Otherwise a setting for "Float to me/Float to shot" would be nice.
Or maybe just, if an animal is in the water, you can claim it from any range, just by looking at it?

Also, there seems to be a bug right now where animals just float around in random directions forever, and never actually settle on the shoreline. This SUCKS in some cases like for crocs on the beach of Emerald Coast.
Here is a quick video as an example; I killed this croc on my previous beach run, probably 20-30mins ago (hence the faded hunting pressure) and he is still just floating around out in the ocean.
